Adam Brand Builds Music From The Ashes
Thrice wed and divorced Perth born star Adam Brand returns with a song born in the ashes of his Queensland home that burned down in 2023.
The 12 time Golden Guitarist once lived in Wallington near Geelong and Colac before heading to Queensland.
Adam illustrated his Getting There video with new partner Nui, whom he met in Thailand, their two daughters Pepper and Connie sharing his recovery on the beach.
Getting There is on Adam’s 23rd album and was produced by fellow Queensland based Jared Adlam and written with Matt Ramsey and Trevor Rosen of US country band Old Dominion.
Brand penned Getting There about recovering from the fire that burned his home down.
“Every journey has ups, downs and sideways moments,” Brand revealed.
“But for me it’s all about that journey and never about the end destination. Even more importantly it’s who you’re on that journey with. I’ll sum it up with the lyrics from the chorus – “Destination I don’t care. We could wind up anywhere Coz the best part is the Getting There.”
Aged 39 he met Jade Hatcher, then 19, on the set of Dancing with the Stars in 2009, and they married in May 2010 but later divorced.
Brand has sold over half a million CDs & DVDs and scored three Platinum and five Gold albums.
Getting There follows his Speed of Life album, 20-year recording anniversary album Milestones, Get On Your Feet in 2017 and his Adam & The Outlaws album Good Year For The Outlaw in 2016 with Drew McAlister, Travis Collins, Matt Cornell and Mike Carr.

Priscilla Block Behind Bars Double Shot
North Carolina chanteuse Priscilla Block returns to Behind Bars with a dynamic double shot.
She opened with her take on a girl who is a bad guy.
Her beau falls for bombshell blue-eyed dirty blondes after being lured by painted nails, daggers and snakeskins.
And then he hits the whiskey in bars while his lover waits at home for his return.
Priscilla then explores the fate of a woman who leaves her partner.
She regretted retreating to an apartment.
Block found what being apart meant – being alone in her concrete cell
Priscilla, now 30, proved a dab hand at mixing metaphors in her love wars.
Bad Guy and Apartment are on her new album PB2 that follows her debut album Welcome To The Block Party and 2 EPS.
Priscilla previously fronted our show with her Good On You, Thick Thies and My Bar videos.

Midland Get Lucky
Texan trio Midland, who toured here with singer actor Tim McGraw and singing spouse Faith Hill on their 2019 visit, return to our show with a good luck parable.
Midland performs Getting Lucky from their sixth album Barely Blue.
They previously fronted our show with Burn Out from their debut album On The Rocks.
Midland lives at Dripping Springs – site of the first of Willie Nelson’s 44 July 4 picnics.
They took their name from Kentuckian singing actor Dwight Yoakam’s song Fair To Midland and turned cash flow into lucrative liquidity with wry word play in Top 10 hit Drinking Problem – one of 15 songs they wrote at Sonic Ranch near El Paso in West Texas.
Lead singer Mark Wystrach was an actor-underwear model before meeting bassist-video director Cameron Duddy and lead guitarist Jess Carson at Jess’s wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Cameron and Jess formed a musical and personal bond picking songs together on Jess’s cabin’s front porch.
The trio released a five-song EP that features Drinking Problem written with Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally who also produced it before they opened for superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
