Georgian singer-songwriter and recent Australian tourist Kip Moore headlines Nu Country TV on Saturday October 5 at 9.30 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44 with some beer money.
Kentuckian Kelsey Waldon, Texan Pistol Annies singer Ashley Monroe and fellow Texan Cody Johnson boomerang to the show repeated 3 am on Monday.
Northcote singer-songwriter and music teacher Michael Meeking and Nashville native Lauren Watkins also appear on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.
This series is dedicated to late Nu Country TV host and treasurer Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and Vice President Rod Browne.

Kip Moore Didn’t Need Beer Money On His Latest Tour Down Under
Georgian Kip Moore returns to our show after playing to an enthusiastic crowd at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday October 3.
Kip, now 44, also joined Randy Houser on March 15 at Margaret Court Arena.
The singer-songwriter reached back to his early career for liquidity in his Beer Money video from his 2012 debut album Up All Night – also the name of his TV show.
Moore was a 2023 CMC Rocks Queensland festival headliner with Zac Brown Band, Morgan Wallen, Ashley McBryde, Randy Houser and other major acts at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich.
Moore fronted our show with If I Was Your Lover that follows his four solo albums and 33 minute documentary The Journey To Slowheart.
He also appeared on our show with How High from fourth album Wild World deluxe disc and his revamped Crazy One More Time from Up All Night.
Kip also played 2018 CMC Rocks Queensland festival and Melbourne Forum with Lee Brice and Charlie Worsham.
Moore, one of six children, debuted at Snowy Mountains country festival in Thredbo and CMC Rocks Queensland in 2016.
Kip and Ashley McBryde also fronted our show at famed Ryman in Nashville for Jani Blue after previous Nu Country videos Fire On Wheels, In The Wild, Don’t Go Changing, More Girls Like You, How High and Last Shot.

Kelsey Waldon From Monkey’s Eyebrow To The Lost Highway
Kentuckian Kelsey Waldon is on the road again on her Nu Country TV return with Travelling The Highway Home from her seventh album There’s Always a Song.
Kelsey, 37, hails from Monkey’s Eyebrow in west Kentucky coal country.
Her name is etched on her hometown monkey welcome sign.
“As a Kentuckian, I grew up seeing signs like this all over my beloved home state – ‘Home Of’ Merle Travis, Bill Monroe, Loretta Lynn, Keith Whitley, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless, Tom T Hall, all of Country Music Highway 23 and countless others,” Kelsey revealed.
“Add this to the list of proud moments. Thank-you Ballard County officials for making it happen. It means a lot.”
Ballard County is shaped as a monkey’s head and Monkey’s Eyebrow is where the eyebrow would be or how the town looks like an eyebrow from nearby hills or the local general store once only considered good enough for “a bunch of monkeys.”
Kelsey also fronted our show with S.G. Garton on Hello Stranger – an old A.P. Carter song.
Waldon worked on farms and tobacco fields before chasing music.
She appeared on Nu Country with Tall And Mighty from sixth album No Regular Dog that Shooter Jennings produced for late John Prine’s Oh Boy label.
Kelsey also graced our show with Sweet Little Girl from No Regular Dog and Anyhow from third album White Noise/ White Lines she produced with Dan Knobler.
It followed self-released EPS and debut 2014 album The Goldmine and 2016 disc I’ve Got A Way.

Pistol Annies Singer Ashley Monroe On The Road Again
Pistol Annies singer-songwriter Ashley Monroe headed out on a different road after four albums with the chart-topping Texan band.
Ashley, now 38, performed her new video with a flourish.
Risen follows her sixth solo album Rosegold in 2021.
Ashley also fronted our show with fellow Texan Jon Randall with Hands on You from her fifth solo album Sparrow released in April. 2018.
The Knoxville girl wed former Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks on October 24, 2013, after they met through a mutual friend after one of her shows in 2011.
They were married at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee.
“I married my best friend,” the singer says of her husband.
Blake Shelton was wedding MC and former singing spouse and Pistol Annies singer Miranda Lambert was maid of honor.
Ashley also fronted Nu Country with Onto Something Good from her second solo CD The Blade in 2015.

Texan Rodeo Rider And Rancher Cody Johnson High In The Saddle
Texan rancher and rodeo rider Cody Johnson returns with a leather legacy.
Cody, 37, hails from Huntsville where he and drummer dad Carl were both prison warders.
Carl played in Cody’s early bands and appeared on his first two albums – Black And White Label and Live And Rocking At Shenanigans And Confetti’s Club in Huntsville in 2007.
This week Cody performs his video for Dirt Cheap from his ninth album Leather.
Cody was joined by his wife Brandi in his previous appearance on our show with The Painter.
He also fronted our show with videos Human, Til You Can’t Tell, Dear Rodeo, Who I Am, On My Way To You, Doubt Me Now and Travelling Soldier.

Michael Meeking Proves His Music Is Speaking
Northcote singer-songwriter and music teacher Michael Meeking boomerangs to our show with memories of a new belle who rings for him north of the Murray Dixon line.
Michael Meeking hits the bars at night to pursue his beauty.
Little Miss Sydney follows the Upper Beaconsfield raised singer’s three albums with the Lost Souls – bassist Julien Chick, guitarist Chris Gates and drummer Dave Kleynjans
It’s the final single on Michael’s fifth solo album The Night Air that features 10 of his original songs and was launched on March 25, 2023, at Union Hotel, Brunswick.
He wrote songs for fourth solo album November ’72 during lockdown and paid homage to times when he and friends escaped to a remote property in regional Victoria.
Michael previously fronted our show with Running Down Your Street Again, Lonesome, Good Times Will Come Again and Where You Going To.
Meeking moved to London for six years in his late twenties and uses locales diverse as Mansfield, Lake Eildon, Sorrento back beach and Blairgowrie in his videos.

Lauren Watkins Heads To The Porch
Nashvillian Lauren Watkins debuts on our show with a nocturnal maternal plea video.
Lauren, just 24, woke at 3 am on her mum’s porch.
She feared her fate when she didn’t phone ahead.
Mama, I Made It From The Porch is on the second instalment of her debut album The Heart Broken Record released on November 17, 2023.
It was produced by Joey Moi and features six songs penned by Watkins with Jessie Jo Dillon, Ashley Monroe, The Warren Brothers, Nicolle Galyon, Rodney Clawson and David Garcia.

Win Waylon, George Jones And Merle Haggard

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
