Chris Stapleton Headlines Nu Country TV On Eve Of Australian Tour
Kentucky coalminer’s son and singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton headlines Nu Country TV on Saturday November 16 at 9.30 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44 on the eve of his February Australian tour.
North Carolina chart-topper Luke Combs boomerangs on the eve of his February tour on the show repeated at 3 am on Monday.
Texan Miranda Lambert and Louisiana singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson, Sydney country star Tania Kernaghan and Kentucky escapee Taylor Austin Dye return to the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.
This series is dedicated to late Nu Country TV host and treasurer Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and Vice President Rod Browne.

Stapleton Love In The Summer Air
Ten time Grammy Winner Chris Stapleton has a vast army of fans for his two Rod Laver Arena concerts on February 25 and 26.
Stapleton, 46, had plenty of inspiration for his video Think I’m In Love With You from his fifth album Higher.
Chris and his singing spouse Morgane have five children including twins.
His video character danced daintily on the lost highway in his video when he got to the church on time for his wedding and funeral.
Chris fronted Nu Country TV in August with The War And Treaty and Chicago born actress singer Jennifer Hudson on her TV show.
They performed a live video for Loving You On My Mind that follows three Hudson albums.
Chris previously appeared on our show with a hot band on the 2021 CMA awards in Nashville with big hit Cold from his fourth solo album Starting Over that topped charts on debut.
Chris and Morgane also fronted Nu Country in their live video Arkansas.
Stapleton and Texan Miranda Lambert, who also returns this week, appeared on our show with a tribute to his pet pooch who died after 16 years at the Stapleton home in recent video Maggie’s Song.
Producer Dave Cobb guested on Chris videos for Shameless and Starting Over – title track of his fourth album with 11 original songs released on November 13, 2021.
Luke Combs From Carolina To Oklahoma
North Carolina superstar Luke Combs boomerangs to our show with the first of our Oklahoma videos.
Luke, now 34, performs his video for Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma from the Twisters movie soundtrack.
Combs had sold out shows here last year and plays Marvel Stadium on February 7 and February 8 next year.
His local audiences included footy icons Eddie Betts, Brisbane Lions premiership star Charlie Cameron and rugby retiree Billy Slater.
Luke released his fifth album Fathers & Sons in June.
He previously fronted our show with All I Ever Do Is Leave, Hunting By Myself, Loving On You, Six Feet Apart, Does To Me, Fast Car and Without You.
His debut deluxe disc This One’s For You 2 was #1 for 44 weeks on Billboard and broke Randy Travis’s record for Always And Forever that was #1 for 43 non-consecutive weeks in 1987-1988.

Miranda Lambert Ain’t In Kansas Anymore
Texan triple Grammy winner Miranda Lambert returns to our show after cancelling her Aussie tour in Covid lockdown.
Miranda performs Ain’t In Kansas Anymore that is also on The Twisters soundtrack.
Lambert runs canine shelters in the Lone Star state and way beyond and thanked Ram Trucks for supporting her Mutt Nation Foundation’s disaster relief efforts in the Twisters.
Miranda recently fronted our show with Damn It Randy – a song she penned with her second husband – New York policeman Brendan McLoughlin for her 10th solo album Postcards From Texas.
Miranda turned 41 on November 10 and released four albums with the Pistol Annies.
Michael Hardy, Lukas Nelson and Jake Worthington joined Miranda for her Music For Mutts benefit concert at Nashville Ascend Amphitheatre October 5 with Ashley Monroe, Natalie Hemby, Little Big Town, Dan + Shay and Riley Green.
The celebration of her Mutt Nation Foundation 15th anniversary fundraiser included an adoption event.
The nonprofit raised over $10 million to promote adoption support shelters advance spay & neuter and assist with emergency response during natural disasters.

Lainey Wilson Out Of Oklahoma
Recent Louisiana tourist and singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson continues our Oklahoma special with Out Of Oklahoma – also on The Twisters soundtrack.
Lainey, now 38, toured here in March and is now dating former NFL quarterback Devlin Duck Hodges so hopefully she will duck back here next year.
Lainey performed a live double shot with her band at 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards in Nashville in May where she won ACM entertainer of year and top female artist awards.
She sang riveting versions of God Bless Texas and Hang Tight Honey from fifth album Whirlwind that was released on August 23.
Lainey also fronted our show with Kentucky star Wynonna Judd, now 60, on Refugee from Tom Petty tribute disc Petty Country out in June.
Florida born Petty died at 66 on October 2, 2017, and starred in movies diverse as FM and The Postman and Simpsons episode and made more than 20 albums solo and with his Heartbreakers band.
Lainey previously fronted our show with Wildflowers & Wild Horses and with Lukas Nelson in More Than Friends and Dolly Parton-Kenny Rogers hit You Can’t Make Old Friends at Leslie Jordan’s tribute concert.
She also appeared on Nu Country with Watermelon Moonshine and with Texan Tanya Tucker and Elle King at the 57th CMA awards in Nashville on Texas When I Die.
She debuted on our show with Georgian Cole Swindell in Never Say Never from Cole’s fourth album Stereotype and with Hardy on their Wait In The Truck.

Taylor Austin Dye Almost In Oklahoma
Kentucky escapee Taylor Austin Dye is almost in Oklahoma on her return to our show.
Taylor’s floral fascination ignited when she feared her bloke’s beau had another belle for his flowers.
But they laid their floral tribute on her grave in her Almost Oklahoma video that follows her 2023 album Out Of These Hills.
The Booneville belle wed fellow singer-songwriter Josh Kerr in 2020.
She recorded three albums with Maddie Font as Maddie And Tae and performs and records with her band Ride Or Dyes.
Dye recently fronted our show with Bible Belt that followed her Nu Country debut in 2021 with No Good-Time Girl that followed singles Mean, Salt On The Wound, Like You Do, Bad Habits and White Oak and her album Believe In The Sun.
Dye, now 39, flies in the slipstream of peers diverse as Gretchen Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde and Kacey Musgraves.
“I have been playing and singing since I was 5 years old,” Dye revealed.
“I always knew I wanted to be an artist and have been pursuing it in some way or another ever since.”

Tania Kernaghan Leads The Saddle Sisters
Sydney country star Tania Kernaghan follows her brother Lee and sister Fiona in her Saddle Sisters video.
The Riverina reared singer-s songwriter hosted cattle, bush & beach rides with Rainbow Beach Horse Rides near Gympie in 2022 that attract women from all over Australia.
Tania, now 56, is Vice Patron for Riding for the Disabled Association Australia, a civil celebrant and avid beekeeper.
She wrote Saddle Sisters with Rod McCormack, Templeton Thompson and Sam Gay.
It was inspired by her grandma Nana Roberts who rode track work for race-horse trainers.
Saddle Sisters follows Tania’s seventh album All Australian Girl and is a homage to the bond between girls and their horses, friendships forged around the riding fraternity and how love for the lifestyle lingers no matter how long you have been out of the saddle something which is close to Tania’s heart.
On her third album Big Sky Country she teamed with producer Andrew Farris of INXS as a writer.
A sojourn at Farris’s New England wheat and sheep property inspired many songs Tania sang on albums and tours.
Tania made several videos for ABC Music including Steal Away – a song about eternal triangles of cheating.
She was a presenter for Lifestyle TV Program What’s Up Downunder on Channel 10, One Digital and Southern Cross.
She also acted in Shadows of the Past playing Sally Robson and in 2019 appeared in Australian Indie Movie An Unconventional Love.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
