Texan singer-songwriter and actor Lukas Nelson and his dad Shotgun Willie Nelson, now 91, headline Nu Country TV on Saturday January 4 at 9 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44.
Fellow singing actor Tim McGraw and Louisiana singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson boomerang to the show repeated at 3 am on Monday.
Expatriate Melbourne singer Jordie Lane and The Wiggles add delicacies to the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Shotgun Willie Nelson Turns Over New Leaf
Singing actor and superstar Shotgun Willie Nelson, now 91, proves he is still alive and well on his return to our show.
Willie performs the title track for his 153rd album Last Leaf.
Shotgun Willie has toured here several times with his own bands and The Highwaymen.
He and late fellow singing actor Kris Kristofferson played golf on a public course near the Yarra River on one of his tours with The Highwaymen.
Willie has appeared in more than 50 movies and telemovies.
They include The Electric Horseman, Honeysuckle Rose, Barbarosa, Songwriter, Red Headed Stranger, The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James, Stagecoach, Once Upon a Texas Train and Beer For My Horses.

Lukas Nelson And Sierra Ferrell
Lukas Nelson – one of Willie’s eight children from his four marriages – also returns this week after celebrating his 36th birthday on Christmas Day.
Lukas and West Virginian Sierra Ferrell teamed live on High Sierra at the Fresh Grass Music festival in the Berkshire Mountains in North Adams, Massachusetts, on September 24, 2023.
He plans to follow Tim McGraw as a pilot and fly to Uluru on his next Australian tour.
Lukas, Sierra, and the Travelling McCourys fronted our show last week with their Someone Like You video.
Sierra, also 36, toured here for several Out On The Weekend festivals at Williamston and returns this year to promote her four albums.
She previously fronted our show with Dollar Bill Bar, Bells Of Every Chapel and In Dreams.

Tim McGraw Southern Voice
Fellow singing actor and pilot Tim McGraw is alive and kicking as he name-checked peers and heroes in his return to our show in his live Southern Voice video with his band.
Tim, now 57, toured here twice with his singing spouse Faith Hill.
They have three daughters who also sing for their supper
McGraw has appeared in many movies including The Blind Side, Flicka and Friday Night Lights.
Southern Voice follows his 17th album Standing Room Only.

Lainey Wilson Visits A Baton Rouge Bar
Louisiana star Lainey Wilson returns to our show after touring here in March with Kameron Marlowe and Jackson Dean.
Lainey, now 32, leads her stroll singalong in Baton Rouge in her home state this week.
Bar In Baton Rouge is on her fifth solo album Whirlwind released in September.
Wilson appeared on our show with expatriate Australasian superstar Keith Urban and is dating former NFL quarterback Devlin Duck Hodges.
Hopefully she will duck back here this year.
She recently fronted our show with his fifth album title track Whirlwind released on August 23.
Wilson won Entertainer of Year and Female Artist of Year and Music Event of Year for Save Me Jelly Roll at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May.
Wilson has won six Academy Of Country Music Awards and seven Country Music Association Awards.
She frequently appeared on Nu Country TV with videos Texas When I Die, You Can’t Make Old Friends, Watermelon Moonshine, Wildflowers And Wild Horses, God Bless Texas and Hang Tight Honey.

The Wiggles Drive Big Red Utes
The Wiggles take viewers on a joyous journey in their return to our show.
They cruised in a Big Red Ute to celebrate 33 years of music and mirth.
Big Red Ute is on their 76th album on ABC Music.
Anthony Wiggle explained “Big Red Ute is a playful nod to our original Big Red Car but with a country rock twist that’s fun for children and parents alike.”
The Wiggles will drive their Big Red Ute on a road trip to Tamworth Country Music Festival.
They perform on January 21 at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre.
This will be the first time The Wiggles perform in a unique venue usually reserved for Rodeos and Horse Cutting events.
The Wiggles have also released Rave Of Innocence – a new EDM Techno Remix Album featuring Lenny Pearce and DJ Dorothy.

Jordie Lane Visits A Biscuit House
Expatriate Melbourne singer-songwriter Jordie Lane takes viewers on an ill-fated trip to a Biscuit House in Nashville.
The weather bureau warned him about the dangers.
Biscuit House is on Jordie’s fourth ABC-Blood Thinner Records album Tropical Depression.
Lane returns here for his August tour that includes gigs in historic Beechworth town and the Hunter Valley.
He previously fronted Nu Country with The Changing Weather – also on Tropical Depression.
He recorded it in Nashville with Grammy nominated producer and engineer Jon Estes.
Lane is the son of a comedian and a clown and spent early years in his parents’ travelling circus.
Tropical Depression tackles Lane’s growing obsession with extreme weather ignited by a close call with an EF-3 Tornado and eventual collision with his own mental health battles.

The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 45.
