Gene Bradley Fisk Headlines Nu Country TV Series 63 Premiere
Veteran Geelong singer-songwriter and disc jockey Gene Bradley Fisk headlines our Nu Country TV Series #63 premiere this Saturday December 7 at 9.30 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44.
Expatriate Australasian superstar Keith Urban and Whey Jennings – grandson of late Texan outlaw king Waylon Jennings – boomerang to the show repeated at 3 am on Monday.
Georgian singer-songwriter Kip Moore, Broken Hill born Parkes raised singer-songwriter Raechel Whitchurch and South Dakota Tailgate troubadour Dennis Cockerham return this week on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Gene Revamps Pentridge Prisoner’s Poem
Geelong singer-songwriter Gene Bradley Fisk and diva daughter Donna honour a late Pentridge prisoner’s poetry in his return to our show.
Gene, now aged 89, received the poem in the mail from Gary David Webb after he performed a concert at Pentridge for staff and prisoners in the seventies.
Webb, a drummer, died in1993 after sending his poem to Gene.
Gene’s Weekend Cowboy single made newspaper headlines after he performed at concerts and on his CDs after Nu Country TV producer David Dawson interviewed him about the song source.
Gene and daughter Donna and their band revived his song in a live video recorded at the Bleak House in Malmsbury.
Gene showcases the song on his weekly radio shows on Wyn-FM in Werribee after driving from his Geelong home.
Fisk paid tribute to late Western District tribal elder Blackhawk in a previous Nu Country video that followed his The Last Of The Rock’n Rollers and Kaanglang Dreaming on our show.
Gene began playing mandolin and banjo at age of 11 in Colac Banjo Club before joining the RAAF at 15 and playing in The Strangers band while stationed in Malaysia.
On his Australian return he continued in music as DJ on 3HA, Hamilton, before hosting country music shows on 3UZ from 1977-1980 and 3GL Geelong before it became K-ROCK FM.
His many singles include The Bushranger, The Ballad Of Ronald Ryan and I Ain’t Gonna Stand In Line.

Whey Jennings Finds Jekyll And Hyde
Whey Jennings has a welcome warning to sinners in his return to our show this week.
The grandson of late outlaw king Waylon Jennings is well versed in fearing both Jekyll & Hyde.
Whey, now 42, dealt with similar demons to Waylon who died at 64 on February 13, 2002.
He beat the devil as he headed into the deepest mines in his vivid video for Jekyll & Hyde – his debut solo album title track.
Whey also fronted our show with his videos for Ten Day Run, Just Before The Dawn and with Creed Fisher on Don’t You Think This Outlaw Things Done Got Out Of Hand that was cut by Waylon as the second single on his I’ve Always Been Crazy album in 1978.
Whey is the nephew of Waylon and Jessie Colter’s son Shooter.
His previous EPs were Gypsy Soul in 2020 and If It Wasn’t for The Sinning in 2022.

Keith Urban Messed Up
Keith Urban, now 57 and father of two daughters reveals how he was messed up until he met his actress wife Nicole Kidman.
The four time Grammy winner grew up in Caboolture, Queensland, after leaving New Zealand at the age of two.
Messed Up As Me is on his 16th album High released here on September 20 on the eve of his national tour in August next year.
Urban and Louisianna lass Lainey Wilson, now 32, also fronted our show with Go Home With You.
Lainey released her fifth album Whirlwind on August 23 after playing Margaret Court Arena with Jackson Dean and Kameron Marlowe on March 21.
Keith also fronted our show with Polaroid, Superman, God Whispered Your Name, Out The Cage. Wild Hearts, Street Called Main and other videos.

Georgian Kip Moore returns to our show after he toured here twice this year.
Kip, now 44, acts out sentiments of his video Live Here To Work.
It may be a reference to his frequent tours here and overseas.
Live Here To Work is on his fifth album Damn Love.

Moore, one of six children, debuted at Snowy Mountains country festival in Thredbo and CMC Rocks Queensland in 2016.

Raechel Whitchurch Alive And Kicking
NSW singer-songwriter Raechel Whitchurch returns to our show with a sad tale.
Her What A Time To Be Alive video was directed by fellow singers Fanny Lumsden and Dan Stanley Freeman.
The song is her new album title track that follows her 2021 album Finally Clear.
That was the year she toured here with Geelong truckie troubadour Adam Harvey who follows the Cats from his NSW Central Coast home when he’s not on the road.
Raechel’s touring began in family band The Lees who cut three albums featuring several of her original songs.
She fronted our show with her Don’t Be Afraid video she directed with Chloe Mottau and editor Brad Spencer.

Tailgate Troubadour Dennis Cockerham
South Dakota outlaw star Dennis Cockerham debuts on our show with his Tailgate Crazy video.
The Sioux Falls truckie turned his song into a smash hit for NFL tailgating fans.
He performed it at the Superfan Summit NFL Draft Tailgate in Detroit last April.
“My first single Tailgate Crazy was pre-released outside The Cleveland Browns Stadium at the end of last season,” Dennis told Nu Country TV.
“Since then it has been accepted and highly promoted by major NFL Tailgating Communities.
We have dates to perform live at some of the NFL Tailgates this coming season. We also have a second song Dirt Rich Dirty Poor.”
Tailgate Crazy is on Dennis’s new album Dirty Rich Dirty Poor.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 45.
