Using our website
Our website has undergone a significant technology update and as a consequence, in the way we present material.
It may take the search engines a while to re-index the new website so you may see links to the old website material displayed.
The material in our old website is still available in our archive which can be accessed via the menu at the top of each page.
In some cases you may find that links to the old website material may not work correctly due to differences in the technology used in the two versions of the website.
Searching for information
There is a search facility at the bottom of each page which covers the material in the new website. It does not index the material in the old website.
However Google indexes both the old and new website very well. Use the following search term structure:
search term site:nucountry.com.au
Replace search term with the text you are looking for and leave a space after it.
For example to look for any mention of Combs in both the old and new websites enter the following into a Google search field:
Combs site:nucountry.com.au
Google also has an advanced search facility to allow more comprehensive searching.
Note 1. Google takes a bit of time to index new website content so don’t be concerned if you don’t find the very latest material using the Google search technique. However our website search facility will find the latest content.
Note 2. By default Google will return a list of text articles. By changing the options at the top of the results to say Images, there will be a list of relevant photos from our website.
Contacting Nu Country
The best way to contact NuCountry is using any of the options shown on our Contact Us page. There is also a link to the Contact Us page at the bottom of each page of the website.
There are sub menus available from some of the links in the menu at the top of each page. For example, the About Us menu has sub menu options to the Contact Us page and the Membership page.
Watching our TV program
Our TV program can be viewed on broadcast TV on digital channel 44 (C31) in metropolitan Melbourne and Geelong.
To extend the coverage of broadcast programs, C31 streams all programs live on the Internet at the URL https://ctvplus.org.au/stream/melbourne/. This means you can watch our programs live anywhere in the world via the Internet. For Australians this is relatively easy as most homes have an NBN connection and many people have phones and tablets etc with access to large Internet data download quotas.
The gap in your ability to watch our shows is the absence of a replay facility. This means if you miss the live show and you did not record it, there is no way to view it.
All music and video is protected by copyright laws and other related legislation. Various licenses are required to play music and show video and otherwise make this material available to the public. We are currently investigating what we need to do to provide a replay facility of our shows. We will provide additional information as we work our way through this issue.
