Texan singer-songwriter Cody Johnson and eight time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood headline Nu Country TV on Saturday January 11 at 9 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44.
Australian country queen Kasey Chambers, New Zealand singer-songwriter Tami Neilson and Texan Nicky Diamonds boomerang to the show repeated at 3 am on Monday.
Kentuckian singing actor Dwight Yoakam, recent Australian tourist Jackson Dean and Canadian pilot Cory Marks also return to the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.

Cody Johnson Returns On Eve Of March Tour
Former Texan prison warden and singer-songwriter Cody Johnson and Oklahoma born star Carrie Underwood return on our show on the eve of Cody’s latest Australian tour.
Cody, now 37, plays Rod Laver Arena on March 27 with South Georgian Cole Swindell, Ashley Cooke and fellow Queensland rodeo rider singer Wade Forster.
The Huntsville singer played in prison bands with his fellow warder and dad Carl and appeared on his first two albums – Black And White Label and Live And Rocking At Shenanigans And Confetti’s Club in Huntsville in 2007.
Cody and Carrie perform their I’m Gonna Love You video from Cody’s ninth album Leather Deluxe.
Cody previously fronted our show with Dirt Cheap, The Painter with wife Brandi, Human, Til You Can’t Tell, Dear Rodeo, Who I Am, On My Way To You, Doubt Me Now and Travelling Soldier.
Carrie, 41, has toured here several times and has won eight Grammy Awards.
She topped charts with songs on her nine solo albums – the last was Denims and Rhinestones in 2023.
Carrie has also written books and starred in the 2011 Soul Surfer movie.
She and National Hockey player husband Mike Fisher have two sons.
Carrie and Georgian star Jason Aldean previously fronted out show with If I Didn’t Love You that is on Jason’s 10th album Macon.

Kasey Chambers Salutes Springsteen
Prolific Golden Guitarist Kasey Chambers took her hat off to Bruce Springsteen in her return to our show.
Mt Gambier born Kasey, now 48, included A Love Like Springsteen on her 13th album Backbone – The Desert Child.
Kasey and her former singing spouse Shane Nicholson perform a Divorce duet on her album.
She also visited the outback in her video for Backbone The Desert Child album title track.
Kasey, mother of three children, recently released new book Just Don’t Be A Dickhead with her intro penned by fellow star and expat Australasian Keith Urban.
Chambers grew up in the outback with her singer-songwriter father Bill, bassist mother Diane and brother Nash and recorded six albums with their Dead Ringer Band.
Chambers previously fronted our show with her Satellite video filmed at artist David Bromley’s Daylesford studio.
Kasey has 14 ARIA Awards, 24 Golden Guitars, 10 APRA Awards, two Americana Music Awards nominations and 10 APRA Awards and lives at Copacabana on the NSW central coast.

Dwight Yoakam Brighter Days
Dual Grammy winning Kentucky singer-songwriter and actor Dwight Yoakam is renowned for his music and acting.
Dwight, now 68, toured here several times and starred in movies including Panic Room, South of Heaven, West of Hell, Sling Blade and The Newton Boys.
This week he performs I Don’t Know How To Say Goodbye from his 20th album Brighter Days.

Tami Neilson Honours Willie Nelson
Kiwi singer Tami Neilson, 47, and Texan Nicky Diamonds boomerang to our show with a video filmed at Shotgun Willie Nelson’s Pedernales studio at his Luck ranch near Austin in Texas.
Tami, 47, is married to detective chief inspector and debuted in Canada with her family band The Neilsons.
Tami also starred in and scored music with her brother Joshua for The Brokenwood Mysteries TV show
She recorded Sister’s Coming Home with Diamonds at Willie Nelson’s studio at his Luck ranch in Texas.
She was in Luck with Willie on several recent duets and returned to the scene of her rhyme in Luck with her two brothers J and Todd and Texan Nicky Diamonds.
They cut Sister’s Coming Home for Willie’s 90th birthday in October 2023.
Tami and Willie won a 2023 New Zealand award for their Luck duet Beyond the Stars
Tami performed from the age of 12 in family band The Neilsons – she had two top 40 singles on Canadian music charts with her family.
She moved to New Zealand in 2007 and won eight Awards for Best Country Album, single and Female Country Artist.
Sister’s Coming Home is on her ninth album Neilson Sings Nelson.

Jackson Dean Heavens To Bettsy
Recent Australian tourist Jackson Dean returns to our show with a damsel named Bettsy.
Dean, now 24, was born in Maryland and landed one of his songs in the Yellowstone TV series.
Jackson and Kameron Marlowe toured here with Lainey Wilson in March.
Heavens To Betsy is on his second album On The Back Of My Dreams.

Cory Marks Drunk When He’s High
Canadian pilot and singer-songwriter Cory Marks follows as he gets high in his homeland on his Nu Country return.
Cory, now 35, was raised in North Bay Ontario and wanted to be a jet fighter pilot at the Royal Military College of Canada.
Instead he followed his music dreams and toured Canada with artists including Gippsland escapee Gord Bamford.
This week he performs Drunk When I’m High from his third album Sorry For Nothing released on December 6 on Better Noise Music.
He also fronted our show with Outlaws And Outsiders with Georgian actor Travis Tritt and Better Off from his second album Who Am I.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 45.
