Texan Will Carter and his hot band livened up stages as they hit the honky-tonks.

Will hails from a farm at Katy near Houston and chased his music dreams.

He proved how he could beat pessimists who doubt his talent in his Just Wait And See video on his fourth album.

Between homeschooling, breaking horses, milking goats and planting crops Will honed his songwriting and guitar skills.

Will took his first stage aged three and played guitar at 10.

When he was a teenager his father became severely ill so he created a playlist of his dad's favourite songs to share with him and provide some comfort and an escape.

Will recorded these songs and sold CDs to help raise money for his family.

This creative and active way of assisting his family landed him on the Debra Duncan television show when he was just 13.

Those songs were played for his father every day until he died.

Carter began his professional career in 2016 after fronting Texas dance hall headliners The Emotions and cut his debut album Good Bad Idea in 2019.
