ANDREW'S APACHE DOUBLE SHOT

Andrew Farris rides the range with his hot band in his return after fronting last week's show with Son Of A Gun.

They ignite the spirit of Geronimo and new outlaws on the run from Mexico as they head way out west in their Apache Pass video.

Andrew recalled historic local legends in With The Kelly Gang that accompanies Apache Pass.

Farris, now 63, wrote With The Kelly Gang with Mark and Jay O'Shea in Nashville for his Golden Guitar nominated self-titled debut solo album before the pandemic.

Tamworth multi-instrumentalist Lawrie Minson was in his posse for the videos on the disc that follows his EP Love Makes The World.

With The Kelly Gang is a vivid picture of Australian history and earned Heritage Song Of The Year nomination.

“The legend of Ned Kelly and his gang has fascinated generations,” revealed Andrew AM who has operated his farm near Tamworth for 26 years.

“I've always been interested in Australia 's history, and I've since learned both sides of the Ned Kelly story. This song captures a moment of Australian culture that felt right with the outlaw theme of my album and I really enjoyed writing it with Mark and Jay O'Shea.”

Andrew's band features Minson on steel and banjo, guitarist Travis New, vocalist Ashleigh Leef, bassist Timothy Sampson and drummer Mitch Farmer.

BROTHERS OSBORNE BEHIND BARS

Brothers Osborne enlisted young talent to drive home messages when they visited Nashville streets and 55th CMA Awards in November.

Brothers T J and John urged fans to live their dreams as T.J. sang of hiding his sexuality in his childhood in their Younger Me video

“I wanted to write about the whole thing, but I didn't want it to be too on the nose, just for the sake of not being predictable,” T.J. Osborne revealed about exploring his sexuality.

“But I did come out, and I did feel compelled to write about it because it is one of the biggest, if not the biggest experience of my life.”

Recording Younger Me was sensitive for T.J. who cried trying to capture the vocals.

“One of the lines that still wrecks me is “Younger me, way too young to pace a bedroom floor” T J explained.

“When I think of not just 12, 13, 14-year-old T.J., but 12, 13, 14-year-old anybody pacing your bedroom floor at that impressionable age, stuck in your room wishing you could be someone else, being ashamed of yourself. It's an emotion that's way too powerful for someone that young to be experiencing in that abundance. I just want to find that kid and say, 'Buddy, you're awesome, and you have no idea how much of your youth you're wasting wrapped up in this thing that's unfair.”

T.J. Osborne told the CMA awards audience: “For many years I would watch this show, year after year, and I always thought how incredible it'd be, and I'd dream of being here on this stage, and there were so many things that were so many hurdles for me. And I always truthfully felt like it would never be possible because of my sexuality to be here.”

He and brother John urged viewers to never give up on equality and beating poverty.

Younger Me is on the deluxe version of their third album Skeletons .

CHRISTINA TAYLOR PHONE FURY

Florida born singer-songwriter Christina Taylor cuts loose on a former beau in her Nu Country debut as she proves phones are lethal weapons.

Her video is directed by Lexy Burke and follows Christina and her boyfriend as their relationship blossoms, only to find her realising her commitment is more than that of the Damn Boy.

Christina and Lexy developed the concept together.

"The most challenging part of a video is making sure I'm getting the point of the song across visually, that's why it's really important that I have a director that I'm comfortable with and can help me get my point across and Lexy was there for me," Christina revealed.

Christina, now 25, grew up with both parents working in medicine.

Like them she wanted to pursue helping others heal but her balm was music - not medicine.

“My dad is a doctor, my mom is a nurse,” Taylor revealed. “I come from a family of, I would like to say healers.”

Christina left North Carolina for Nashville to follow musical dreams - her new single and video Damn Boy follows two EPS.
