Canadian
singer/songwriter Sarah Harmer, on a flying visit to our shores,
dropped in to the Basement Discs at lunchtime today for an In-Store
performance. She had driven straight from the airport to do this.
She
gave a performance of great sweetness and mellowness accompanying
her lovely voice on a Gibson guitar. The tunes were laid back country/folk
and the lyrics were wonderfully quirky. The songs were from her
latest CD All Of Our Names.
"Come
on Lion" was the first of six songs that Sarah played. "Pendulums"
and "Greeting Card Aisle" came next.
