SAWYER BROWN HEADLINE NU COUNTRY TV
Veteran Indiana raised band Sawyer Brown headline Nu Country TV on Saturday April 13 at 6.30 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44.
Seven time Texan Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves , New Zealand singer Tami Nielson and Georgians Blackberry Smoke boomerang to the show filmed and produced by Laith Graham and repeated Saturday at 2.30 am.
South Australian Bonnie Kellett and Florida born Ashley Cooke also return this week.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.
This series is dedicated to late Nu Country TV host and treasurer Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and Vice President Rod Browne.

SAWYER BROWN HIT ROAD AGAIN
Sawyer Brown detail their long 43-year journey across the international music mecca in their return to our show.
It began in Indiana in 1981 and includes 50 chart singles, 6,000 plus shows and 11 industry awards.
Lead singer Mark Miller and his band reveal their dance steps and fashion including what is under their chapeaus in their latest single video Under This Ole Hat.
Miller also commemorated their 43 year career in his new memoir The Boys And Me: My Life in the Country Music Supergroup Sawyer Brown on February 6 via Forefront Books.
The band has also released a new documentary Get Me To The Stage On Time and single of the same name.
It includes interviews with Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Dierks Bentley and many other peers.
Sawyer Brown members were the backing band for fellow singer Don King until 1981.
Their previous chart toppers included Some Girls Do (1992), Thank God for You (1993), Step That Step (1985)
Under This Ole Hat is on their Shelton produced 25th album Desperado Troubadours released on March 8 .

KACEY MUSGRAVES DIGS A DEEPER WELL

Texan troubadour Kacey Musgraves illustrates her journey from her humble childhood to success in her new video single Deeper Well.
Kacey also ditched bad habits and people who wasted her time and heart on her rise.
The singer, now 35, wed fellow singer Ruston Kelly in 2017 but they divorced after three years in 2020.
Kacey recovered on her scenic trip in her video for Deeper Well - title track of her 14-track seventh album.
Musgraves previously fronted Nu Country with her videos including Simple Times from her movie Star Crossed, Oh What A World, High Horse and Butterflies .

TAMI NIELSON IN LUCK AGAIN WITH WILLIE

Kiwi singer-songwriter Tami Nielson returns to Shotgun Willie Nelson's movie town Luck.
As Willie says if you are in Luck you really are in luck.
If not - you're out of luck.
Tami returned to the scene of her rhyme and was in Luck with her two brothers J and Todd and Texan Nicky Diamonds.
They cut Sister's Coming Home for Willie's 90th birthday last October.
Tami and Willie won a 2023 New Zealand award for their Luck duet Beyond the Stars
Sister's Coming Home follows Tami's fifth album Kingmaker.
Tami and expat Kiwi Marlon Williams debuted on our show with a song started by her late Canadian father.
Tami's dad Ron began writing Lonely in 1972 and recorded the demo outside a hotel room in Canada.
It remained a demo until Tami and her brother Jay discovered it a week after his death.
They finished it for her second album Don't Be Afraid.
Tami performed from the age of 12 in her family band The Neilsons - she had two top 40 singles on Canadian music charts with her family.
She moved to New Zealand in 2007 and won eight Awards for Best Country Album, single and Female Country Artist.

BONNIE KELLETT RETURNS TO WILLUNGA

Latter day NSW singer-songwriter Bonnie Kellett left her hometown in South Australia when she was 18.
Bonnie, now 35, returned to Willunga to shoot her new video Humble Hero.
She featured the 1978 Gibson Banjo given to her by her late father.
Bonnie filmed outside the post office, shops and bakery.
Those shops included historic Willunga Whatever store once run by Nu Country TV treasurer Carol Taylor.
Humble Hero is the sixth single on Bonnie's debut album Hidden Spirit .
Bonnie previously fronted our show with her videos for Hooked, Lost & Found and Devil.
She played a 100-year old violin given to her by her father when she was just five.
Bonnie grew up in Willunga wine country south of Adelaide and moved to Byron Bay before settling in Sydney.
She started performing aged six when she took up violin and played in orchestras, recitals and joined performing arts company OPUS and sang at theatre restaurant Night Train.
In 2007 Bonnie got her break at Actors Centre Australia in Sydney - an acting school started by her hero Dean Carey.
She graduated in 2009 and acted in feature film Horizons Crossing , diverse TV projects and performs in touring showband Frogs On Toast and working on various television projects.

ASHLEY COOKE SHOT IN THE DARK

Latter day Nashville singer-songwriter Ashley Cooke has a blunt message for bucolic beaus in her new video.
Don't call her late at night when you have been drinking after a toxic ruptured romance.
Ashley, now aged 26, left Florida for California early in her career before moving to Nashville and debuting on The Bachelorette TV show.
Cooke has toured with Luke Bryan, Jordan Davis, Cole Swindell and Brett Young and soared charts with Young on previous single Never Till Now .
She drives her message in her new video single Your Place on her 24 song debut album Shot in The Dark.

BLACKBERRY SMOKE

Georgian band Blackberry Smoke boomeranged to our show were live in the RCA studio in Nashville with their new video Watcha Know Good.
They took to the road and stages after starring in TV movie Yellowstone.
That was before drummer Brit Turner died aged 57 of brain cancer this month.
Blackberry Smoke and Warren Haynes fronted our show live in Dave Cobb's studio on previous video All Rise Again.
The band was discovered by fellow home state icons the Zac Brown Band before their 20 years in the saddle.
They have a deal with Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine - Tennessee 's first legal moonshine.
Their album-DVD set Blackberry Smoke Homecoming: Live in Atlanta , features 18 songs on two CDs or three LPs, with special-edition colored vinyl disc.

WIN WAYLON, GEORGE JONES AND MERLE HAGGARD

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling's favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
