Andy filmed Country Band for his second album Young, Dumb And Wild. “The rollicking road trip tune declares that love exists in its many wondrous forms in all your relationships, friends, family, and of course, your band,” Andy revealed of the song. Equally vivid is the album title track. “It's anything but a song about being young, dumb and wild,” Andy explained. “It's more about holding onto that inner child that helps you create more freely. It reflects my efforts to come to terms with performance anxiety and setting myself free on stage.” Golledge appeared in 2019 SBS series Robbie Hood and returns in new TV series Thou Shalt Not Steal. Andy released his debut album Strength Of A Queen in March 2022 and won Best Independent Country Album/EP AIR Awards 2023. His band features Leroy Lee (guitar/vocals) Caitlin Harnett (banjo/vocals), bassist Nick Ryan and drummer Josh Piltz and played Tamworth Country Music Festival in January. “Returning to Tamworth this year for TCMF24 was a special one for me and the band”, Andy said. “It was our first ticketed show in all the years playing the festival and to sell it out felt amazing. Having forged my music career in Sydney , it was so surreal to sell more tickets in my hometown than any other show I've played. To see so many old friends and new friends, old fans and new fans in the crowd – it's a show I won't forget for some time.” Young, Dumb & Wild was recorded, mixed and mastered by Ryan Miller at Hercules Street Studios in Sydney . They welcomed us to their country with wheelbarrow races, tug of war and hot live music. The quintet performed at the Mountain Cattleman's Association of Victorian Annual Get Together at Licola in September 2023. Wade Blundell from Blacklist Productions filmed their video when he stayed with the band at a school camp with bunk beds for the three-day event. Welcome To The Country follows their 2018 debut album Feels Like Home. The Mason Boys filmed a previous video for nostalgia fuelled album title track Feels Like Home at historic rural retreat - Uncle Nev's Trail Rides north of Melbourne at Upper Plenty. The popular equestrian ranch - replete with post rail gate way, milk cans and long line of cypress trees entrance - has been in lead singer Clint Stubbs family for three generations. The quintet hangs their hats in Gisborne, Seymour, King Lake, Upper Plenty and Erica when not on the road. CLICK HERE for our Mason Boys CD feature in The Diary on September 3, 2018. LOREN RYAN AND NATHAN LAMONT Tamworth Starmaker winner Loren Ryan and finalist Nathan Lamont hit the road and river in their Nu Country debut. Loren won Starmaker before being nominated for her first Golden Guitar this year. My Favorite Summer is on Loren's 5 track EP Homecoming released on January 19. It was also her 29th birthday. “I love this song so much, it could be one of the best songs I've written,” Loren revealed. “I'm proud to have Nathan Lamont featuring on this song with me. Nathan is a childhood friend of mine and its deadly to collaborate on a song after all these years.” Equally enthused was Lamont. “Loren and I have been friends for many years, but we've had very few opportunities to see one another in that time,” Lamont revealed. “When I first heard the lyrics for My Favourite Summer I had an immediate connection. Every word that I sing genuinely represents the feelings and experiences I have had with my wife, which made my performance in the video effortless. This was my first ever music video so I felt a high level of responsibility in accurately representing the message and visuals of the song. My good friend Luke Chisholm filmed my part of the music video in my hometown of Wagga. It was truly a special experience to film parts of the video on the Murrumbidya ( Murrumbidgee River ) the place where I would cool off on hot summers as a child. I had so much fun filming around Wagga, using other locations such as the Birdy Bar to portray as the diner, the bridge across the Wollundry Lagoon, which is another important Aboriginal site for community where corroborees were traditionally held.” Further info - https://www.facebook.com/LorenRyanMusic/ MATT JOE GOW BOOMERANGS Expat Kiwi singer-songwriter Matt Joe Gow boomerangs to our show this week.
