Texan dual Grammy winner singer-songwriter Tanya Tucker headlines Nu Country TV on Saturday January 20 at 6.30 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44.
Georgian Brantley Gilbert, singer-actor Blake Shelton and Vince Gill boomerang to the show hosted, filmed and produced by Laith Graham and repeated Tuesday at 1.30 am.
Nashville singer-songwriter Gwen Levey and The Breakdown and fellow chanteuses Sunny Sweeney, Brennen Leigh and Sophia Johnson inject humour into our show.
Sydney band Two Tone Pony, Stonnington Council health and safety officer George Triantis also return this week.

TANYA PRAISES RODEO RIDERS

Texan Tanya Tucker returns with her tribute to rodeos and old cowboys.
Tanya, now aged 65, depicted a rodeo rider's long journey as he recalled his halcyon awards era.
When The Rodeo Is Over Where Does The Cowboy Go is on Tanya's 3Oth album Sweet Western Sound.
Tanya had her first hit at 13 with Alex Harvey penned Delta Dawn followed by David Allan Coe's Would You Lay With Me In A Field of Stone?
Tanya also appeared in Hard Country and Jeremiah Johnson movies and released Nickel Dreams: My Life book in 1997.
She also fronted Nu Country with her Kindness video after appearing in 2020 with a collage of images to illustrate her life story in The House That Built Me video from 27th album While I'm Living that won Tanya her two Grammys in February.
Tanya won best country album for While I'm Living and best country song for Bring My Flowers Now.
The wins were the first for Tanya after 10 nominations dating back 47 years.
“After 50 years in this business, and it's still unbelievable to me that I still have a few firsts left,” Tanya revealed.
Brandi Carlile produced Tanya's album with Shooter Jennings but her Hamer Hall concert on April 6, 2020, was cancelled because of the pandemic.
Tanya previously appeared on Nu Country with Shooter and Brandi in previous videos Hard Luck and The Wheels Of Laredo and with Lainey Wilson and Elle King in Texas When I Die.

Nashville singer Gwen Levey and The Breakdown debut on our show with their tongue-in-cheek look at their vision for the future of Women's rights.
They are joined by a vast cast of women, pets and peers as they emerge from church to the stage, laundries and clotheslines.
“This song is for all the freedom-lovin', democracy-lovin', country music-lovin' people out there who want to help women win back their Reproductive Rights!” Gwen revealed.
She draws heavily on personal experiences and her triumph over abuse and finding renewed strength in herself.
Gwen sings about recognizing bad situations and knowing when it's time to hit burn rubber and go. The bad omens brought by others (alcoholism, violence, unstable personalities, stubbornness, psychobabble & being taken advantage of). It adds up to unhealthy relationships. But finding harmony is a lifelong search too.

They combined on But You Like Country Music that debuted in 2015.

Sunny, now 47, has now released six albums and Brennen Leigh toured here with Asleep At The Wheel last year.
Sophia fronts her Sophia Johnson Band and is a founder of Tiger Alley with fiddler Katy Rose Cox.

BRANTLEY GILBERT AND BLAKE SHELTON SOCIAL COMMENT

Georgian singer-songwriter Brantley Gilbert, Oklahoman Blake Shelton and Vince Gill return to Behind Bars with wry social comment as they are joined by dogs and fish in their latest video.
Brantley celebrates his 39th birthday on Saturday and performs Heaven By Then from his sixth album So Help Me God.
Gilbert previously fronted our show with Stone Cold Sober, The Weekend, More Than Miles inspired by second wife - Georgian school teacher Amber Cochran after he split with fellow singer Jana Kramer.
Blake, 47, married his third wife - fellow singer Gwen Stefani - after divorcing Miranda Lambert and Kaynette Williams.

TWO TONE PONY STORMY WEATHER

Dr David Kirkpatrick - the son of late country legends Slim Dusty and Joy McKean - and his Two Tone Pony band return this week.
They filmed at Mangrove Mountain Hall in the NSW Central Coast hinterland.
Dr Kirkpatrick wrote Stormy Weather for his wife Jane - it celebrates their 43 years marriage.
The dancers in their video also performed at the good doctor's daughter's wedding.
Stormy Weather follows their previous video A Life Well Lived.
Two Tone Pony also features Dr Kirkpatrick's school mates Ian Rhodes and Graham Puglisi from the Rhythm Method.
Glenn Willey and brother-in-law Greg Richardson from The Adverts also ride in Two Tone Pony.
David lived in caravans for the first six years of his life when he and sister Anne Kirkpatrick toured with their parents Slim and Joy.
He subsequently went to boarding school and career as Emergency Medicine Specialist on the Central Coast of NSW.

Stonnington council health and safety officer George Triantis is joined by his daughter Paris in their return to our show.
They filmed Anywhere at the Treasury Gardens , South Melbourne Town Hall and PBS studios in Collingwood.
They also visited Black Rock Pier, South Yarra and the Armadale Wine Bar.
Anywhere follows his previous video Lonely Highway in which he took viewers on a trip to the mountains before heading south to Chasers night club in Prahran and his East Malvern home.
Anywhere and Lonely Highway will feature on George's debut album.

WIN WAYLON, GEORGE JONES AND MERLE HAGGARD

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling's favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
