TEN TON TINNIES HEADLINE NU COUNTRY TV
Brisbane band Ten Ton Tinnies boomerang as Nu Country TV headliners at 6.30 pm on Saturday October 28.
Snowy Mountains singer-songwriter Fanny Lumsden and South Australian born farm belle Abbie Ferris also return to our show that is repeated on Tuesday at 1 am.
Oklahoma red dirt band Turnpike Troubadours, South Carolina guitar slinger Matt Tucker and Texan Brett Landin appear on the program filmed and edited by our loyal producer and co-host Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Brisbane country rock combo the Ten Ton Tinnies are wired and inspired as they headline our show.
The band formed in 2018 with members Steve Thompson, Dave Bowden, Luke Turley and Ben Beatttie.
They debuted on our show with their rollicking Country Towns video in 2020 from debut album Tons Of Tins.
This week the band performs their vibrant video Sing It Loud that follows recent singles Bad Gas Travels Fast In A Small Town , Country Bar and Country Towns.
Another single Country Bar released in 2022 hit Top 10 of Australian Country charts for three weeks and was followed by Simple Life in July.

ABBIE FERRIS DRINKS WITH REAL COWBOYS

Abbie Ferris grew up on a 90-acre farm in South Australian town Mallala 58 kilometres north of Adelaide and now tours with fellow South Australian born belle Bonnie Kellett.
This week Abbie took a sip or two when she returned to our show on horse-back at Casa La Vina Luxury Villas in the Hunter Valley with her My Kinda Cowboy video.
She wrote the song with expat Aussie Phil Barton and two Canadians.
It follows 2021 debut EP Ready or Not.
Abbie rode horses on her family farm while her dad was a stockman at the local sale yards.
Soon after she fell in love with music and worked as a singer-songwriter.
Ferris was awarded Market The Music Emerging Artist Scholarship in 2017, receiving a year of industry mentoring.
She debuted on Nu Country in 2019 with her second single Beat You At Your Own Game that she wrote with producer Michael Carpenter.
Her video was directed by Kirsty Lee Akers singing spouse Jesse Anderson of Klik Productions.

FANNY LUMSDEN FINDS UGLY FLOWERS IN THE SNOWY MOUNTAINS

Celebrated Snowy Mountains singer-songwriter and eight time Golden Guitarist and ARIA winner Fanny Lumsden doesn't have far to travel when she records her albums and makes videos.
Fanny aged 36 and husband Dan Freeman record in a stone hut studio on their farm on the western side of the Snowy Mountains.
That was where she was home on the range with Dan and their daughter in her new video Ugly Flowers from her fourth album Hey Dawn.
It followed recent appearances on our show with her videos for Stories and When I Die filmed near her lumberjack neighbour Ben's Awesome View farm.
She fronted Nu Country with videos for Tidy Town, while 38 weeks pregnant, Dig, Mountain Song, This Too Shall Pass, Pretty Little Fools and collage of childhood memories and rural survivors in Real Men Don't Cry (War On Pride).
Fanny's band raised funds for Snowy Mountains survivors at concerts after 2019-2020 mountain mega fires and during the pandemic.
Her third album Fallow celebrated incredible surroundings caught in the horrendous bushfires - the poignant cover image illustrates devastating impact of the valley fires.

TURNPIKE TROUBADOURS VISIT CAINS BALLROOM IN TULSA

Oklahoma red dirt band Turnpike Troubadours perform live in the famed Cains Ballroom in Tulsa on their Nu Country TV return.
The Tulsa ballroom has long been venue of choice for many western swing kings dating back to Bob Wills and recently Asleep At The Wheel.
The band took a hiatus in 2019 after forming in 2007 and return with their Mean Old Sun video from sixth album Cat In The Rain.
It was produced by Shooter Jennings for their indie label Bossier City Records.
They fronted Nu Country with their Texan Bruce Robison produced their Mississippi You're On My Mind after debuting on Behind Bars with video warning about evil - Gin, Smoke, Lies.
Bassist R.C. Edwards took a hiatus from his chemistry career to create the band with Evan Felker, Kyle Nix, Ryan Engelman and Gabe Pearson.
They took their name from Indian Nation Turnpike that connects many smaller towns and signed to Bossier City Records for three studio albums in 2007.
In 2012 their third album Goodbye Normal Street peaked at 57 on Billboard after they played Boston beer and wine mines and worked with singing actor Dwight Yoakam.
Felker wrote most of the lyrics with Edwards who penned semi-autobiographical Morgan Street about the band's early days.
He penned Blue Star - a bittersweet tale of a veteran returning from war and Gin, Smoke and Lies where he contrasts his own romantic plight with a rooster who manages to satisfy 20 partners - not just one.

MATT TUCKER ROCK HILL REFUGEE

South Carolina young gun Matt Tucker debuts on our show with his dance hall dreaming after playing in bands with his dad as a teenager in Rock Hill.
He cuts loose in his Honky Tonking All Night video that follows his EP and 2017 debut album Where Did You Go.
Tucker found a bar stool to rest his feet while playing his guitar and then hit the dance floor to sing and join the bevy of line dancers until dawn broke their day.
Matt started his band in South Carolina in 2010 and invaded Nashville in 2013.
Tucker was referred by Hall of Fame songwriter Sam Tate and joined a SESAC-affiliate Guitbox Publishing .
After releasing his Blue Collar Anthem his band shared stages with artists diverse as Jason Michael Carrol, Trent Tomlinson, Blackhawk , Josh Thompson, Jeff Bates, Ray Scott, LoCash, Chase Rice, Chris Lane and Canaan Smith.
"It's important to be humble and kind in this business, we couldn't do this without you, the friends and fans," Tucker revealed.

BRETT LANDIN BEATS A CHEATER

Dallas damsel Brett Landin takes her revenge on a cheat in her Nu Country TV debut.
She sang how her lover looked at her in a way her beau never did in her graphic video for More Than One Way To Cheat that joins Small Town Girl on her 2023 debut EP Who Knew.
Brett graduated from the University of Southern California in May while pursuing her music career.
I first went to Nashville in 2021 to begin learning more about making music beyond my childhood bedroom, Brett revealed.
It took me years and years of my parents begging me to explore music legitimately to even be okay with getting on a plane to go to Nashville . The record is a piece of my journey that I am beyond grateful to share with all of y'all. It is about the moments in life we never anticipated would happen, the good and the bad. Heartbreak and old love, true love and new beginnings. All these moments in our lives we could have never known would happen as they did, but they have led us to be here together. To cry, to laugh and to sing together. I hope this record meets you where you are at in your journey, as each of these songs did for me on mine.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling's favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
