Mississippi minstrel Charlie Worsham and North Carolina nouveau outlaw chart-topper Luke Combs headline Nu Country TV at 6.30 pm on Saturday November 18.
South Georgian singer-songwriter Brent Cobb name checks his heroes in his return to our show, repeated on Tuesday at 1 am.
California quartet Three Pairs Of Boots and Nashville band Quittin Time celebrate Behind Bars boots double shots on the program filmed and edited by our loyal producer and co-host Laith Graham.
Prolific Snowy Mountains Golden Guitarist and ARIA award winner Fanny Lumsden and Sydney singing actor Andy Penkow boomerang to our show this week.

When Charlie Worsham toured here in 2018 he performed at Melbourne CBD Forum with Lee Brice and recent Georgian tourist Kip Moore.
This time he is joined by another recent tourist - North Carolina chart topper and nouveau outlaw Luke Combs - who played eight sold out concerts on his second Australian sojourn in August.
Charlie, now 38, is joined by young Luke, 33, on their video for I Learned How To Pray on Worsham's third album Compadre.
It followed another Charlie chapel song - the wry I Hope I'm Stoned When Jesus Takes Me Home.
Worsham played struggling country singer Colin Haynes who was murdered in Fox TV series Bones after he was a mandolinist-singer in embryonic band King Billy who cut an EP in 2010.
Worsham graced Nu Country with his Half Drunk, Believe In Love and Fist Through This Town videos.
Combs took time out on his August tour to catch a Collingwood-Brisbane game at Mickey Mouse house in Docklands.
Luke was a VIP guest of former Carlton and Adelaide star Eddie Betts.
So it was fitting that Brisbane champion Charlie Cameron named some Luke songs in his post- game TV interview with Brian Taylor on the Seven Network.

BRENT COBB NAME CHECKS HIS HEROES

South Georgian singer-songwriter Brent Cobb name-checks some heroes on his return to our show.
Brent, now 37, named 31 stars including Luke Combs in his When Country Came Back To Town video promoting his sixth album Southern Star.
Others include Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, Shooter Jennings, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks, Margo Price, Turnpike Troubadours, Colter Wall and Charley Crockett.
Cobb previously fronted our show with his When It's My Time, She Don't Love Me, Keep ‘Em on They Toes and Down Home videos.
Keep ‘Em on They Toes was title track of his fourth album and Down Home was about his hometown Ellaville - population 1,609.
Cobb's career rocketed after August 2006 release of debut album No Place Left To Leave and self-titled indie EP.
Brent moved to Nashville in 2008 and wrote hits for Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, David Nail, Little Big Town, Kellie Pickler, Frankie Ballard and Eli Young Band.

ANDY PENKOW WELCOMES AUSSIE RAIN

Sydney singer-songwriter and actor Andy Penkow celebrates welcome rain in Coonabarabran and many dry towns in his Nu Country return.
Andy sings for drinkers as they welcomed the Castlereagh river's flow before heading to Moree in his Aussie Rain video.
Penkow, 38, pays tribute to flood, fire and drought ravaged farmers on his 14 song fourth album Loves, Lies and Dirty Dishes.
He previously revamped Ghostly Gums Walking Away video that was nominated for Bush Ballad of the Year at the 2023 Golden Guitar Awards.
“I was given these amazing lyrics from Kath Stewart and I wanted to pay tribute to the traditional style in which they were written,” Andy told Nu Country.
“I composed 2 versions of the song. This version was produced by Lindsay Waddington who I thought of right away. I wanted a producer that understood bush ballads.
Chatting with Lindsay about how inspired I was after watching “Slim and I asked Lindsay how Slim would approach a song like this. It was a tribute to a legend. It was written for the farmers who have struggled and are still struggling. They are the backbone of this great nation. And we often forget that.”
Andy fronted Nu Country with 1993, How Many Times, Protected Love, Wildflowers, Drowning In The Whiskey and Before I Go.
Penkow was living on the NSW coast when he joined SBS choir and appeared in Mel Gibson 2000 TV movie Three Stooges , the Deck Dog's movie, Deadly Woman and Sunday Night in 2017.

FANNY LUMSDEN LEADS SINGERS AND DINERS

Snowy Mountains minstrel Fanny Lumsden leads the singing and dining at joyous family table in her return.
Fanny aged 37, recruited family and friends to spread joy in You'll Be Fine at home on the mountain range.
The eight-time Golden Guitarist and ARIA award winner filmed her You'll Be Fine video for her fourth album Hey Dawn.
Fanny records with husband Dan Freeman and Matt Fell in a stone hut studio on their farm on the western side of the Snowy Mountains
She recently fronted our show with a humorous mortality tale when she sang and drummed with her band including husband Dan as they acted on a high country funeral request.
They feature bearded lumberjack and cattle farmer Brett who bailed her up in a local pub and asked her to film one of her songs for his wake and shoot his ashes from a shot gun.
She requested a down payment of a cow and two loads of wood.
“Six months later he rocked up to our house with the first down payment of a load of wood so I had to get the details,” Fanny revealed.
Brett requested his ashes be mixed with glitter and put into shotgun shells as his friends gather for the wake behind his house - a locale he calls Awesome View.
“There'll be a bonfire and I'm going to rattle out a bunch of Monty Python songs and some others” Fanny explained.
“Everyone's going to shoot his ashes into the sky with shotguns at sunset and send him off in his most glorious way.”
The Tooma troubadour wrote When I Die during a pitstop on the Nullarbor Plain trip and filmed her video with Brett on guitar on his Awesome View farm.
Fanny fronted Nu Country with videos for Tidy Town , while 38 weeks pregnant, Dig, Mountain Song, This Too Shall Pass, Pretty Little Fools and collage of childhood memories and rural survivors in Real Men Don't Cry (War On Pride).
Fanny's band raised funds for Snowy Mountains survivors at concerts after 2019-2020 mountain mega fires and during the pandemic.
Her third album Fallow celebrated incredible surroundings caught in the horrendous bushfires - the poignant cover image illustrates devastating impact of the valley fires.

Californian quartet 3 Pairs Of Boots debut live in a Behind Bars double shot in their studio.
Andrew Stern and wife Laura Arias met through a Singer Wanted ad and were married within a year of their first encounter.
They cut Sweet Spot for third album Mighty Love.
Their music is hybrid of Americana , folk, rock, and country.
“I'm the technician, and she's the magic,” Stern revealed.
“When I write, I'm always thinking of her voice. We sort of stumbled into this genre: It was there the whole time, and we just had to realize it.”
They were originally influenced by the music of Buffalo Springfield , The Byrds and Crosby , Stills And Nash , Johnny Cash and Emmylou Harris.
“Andrew likes to take someone's story and run with it,” says Arias. “The story is always important.”

Florida band Quittin Time take us on a trip to a forest for a wedding in their debut.
Sadly the video bride was jilted at an outdoor altar in their Three Pairs of Boots video on their album Long Rider.
The Lakeland band's video was shot and produced in Nashville by Anna Haas.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling's favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
