Kentuckians Alex Miller and Carly Pearce headline N u Country TV at 9 pm on Saturday February 18.
Californian Heather Myles, Illinois born Margo Price and expat Kiwi Kaylee Bell return to the show repeated Sunday at 4.30 am.
The Pleasures - Novocastrian Catherine Britt and Melbourne singer-songwriter-producer Lachlan Bryan - boomerang to Behind Bars on the program filmed and edited by our multi-talented lockdown producer-host Laith Graham.

Kentuckian Alex Miller thanks a higher being as he performs at his family farm in Lancaster, Kentucky.
Alex, now 20, was joined by fiddler Jenee Fleenor, band and dancers in his barns who two-stepped on pick-up trucks and 4 wheelers.
Miller's uncles and granny joined him and the bucolic belles before Alex and his band performed live at Silver-Eagle night club in Rockcastle.
When God Made The South follows debut album Miller Time on Billy Jam Records.
The American Idol finalist mourned late grandfather, GB Miller, who died on July 3 aged 75.
“Granddaddy was my best friend and he taught me so much,” Alex revealed.
“He's the reason I do what I do, but he also taught me how important it is to be a good person and what it means to be good to others. He also made sure I knew what working hard was really like. His passing has devastated me and my family.”
When God Made The South is a change of pace.
“I told everybody I want something somewhere between George Strait and Kiss,” Miller revealed.
"To me that's what I got and I'm so glad we did, I've drank an RC Cola and ate me a Moon Pie with it. To me, the song makes me think of my hometown of Lancaster . A bunch of good folks who care for one another, and as the song says, I think God really did bless this place when he made it!"
“It doesn't matter what I sing, I'm going to sound like myself,” Miller says. “When I heard this song, it got my gears turning and my wheels spinning. I feel that with enough practice and drive a person can do whatever they set their mind to! I want to show what I can really do, and this song is just a way for me to do that.”
Miller fronted Nu Country with Through With You and Don't Let The Barn Door Hit Ya with farm visitor - Kentucky model and basketball TV-radio host Maria Montgomery.
Maria swapped high heels for high ideals in videos at Alex's grandfather's farm in Lancaster.
“Going into this I wanted to make an album that showcased all the different sides of me -swing, bluegrass, country and gospel,” Alex explained.
“Miller Time gives me the chance to show folks all the music I love and enjoy. I always knew making music was what I wanted. To actually be doing it is really me living the dream.”

CARLY PEARCE DROWNS SORROWS

Kentucky belle Carly Pearce drowned her sorrows in the ocean on her Nu Country TV return.
Carly, 34, exposed failings of a departed partner - maybe former singing spouse Michael Ray in the video filmed outside Boston with director Alexa Campbell.
What He Didn't Do is on the prolific award winner's third album 29 - Written In Stone.
Pearce is now dating Riley King, a former MLB player for Kansas City Royals.
Carly and Arkansas traveller Ashley McBryde won Grammy and CMA awards for Never Wanted To Be That Girl also on Nu Country TV.
She also fronted our show with Dear Miss Loretta - her evocative homage to fellow Kentucky born belle Loretta Lynn who died last year at 89.

HEATHER MYLES LIVE IN TEXAS

Californian star Heather Myles returns live with her band on the eve of her Australian March tour.
They performed at famed Longhorn Saloon in Fort Worth, Texas
Heather, now 60, plays Springvale Town Hall on March 11 and Croatian Hall in Blacktown , NSW, on March 18.
She has released eight albums in her 40-year career.
Heather performed Send Me The Pillow You Dream On, penned and first recorded by Hank Locklin in 1949.
It was later a hit for Hank, Dean Martin, Johnny Tillotson and other major stars.
Heather hails from Riverside in California where her parents bred racehorses and has released six albums.
She also fronted Nu Country with Act Naturally written by the late Johnny Russell - a hit for fellow Californian Buck Owens and The Beatles .
Myles debuted on our show with her Mama's A Star video from fifth album In The Wind.

THE PLEASURES BEHIND BARS

he Pleasures - Novocastrian singer-songwriter Catherine Britt and Melbourne minstrel Lachlan Bryan - boomerang to Behind Bars.
They perform a live version of a song they wrote in a fever one night in Melbourne.
Every Story Has Two Sides is second single from The Pleasures debut album on Catherine's Beverley Hillbillies record label.
“ Lachlan and I have always clicked in life and in song” Catherine revealed.
“And we've always had an unspoken understanding and respect for one another. These songs came so easy - they flowed out of us like a raging stream. I just want more honest, real music in the world and I couldn't think of a better person to make it with!”
“I don't think know anyone else who feels and understands country music the way Catherine does, Lachlan explained.
“She sounds authentic because she is authentic. When she opens her mouth and sings you can hear the neon lights buzzing, you can taste the tequila and you can barely see for the cloud of smoke. It's all that stuff that people try and fake - they try and put in on - but it's like she was just born with it”.
Catherine released ninth album Home Truths in January 2021 and Mornington Peninsula born Bryan released seven albums including some with The Wildes.

MARGO PRICE LIVE ON A MOUNTAIN

Illinois born Margo Price, who also toured Australia, returns to our show live on a mountain.
Margo, 39, sings of her travels and travails on her Been To The Mountain video on her sixth album Strays out this month.
Price also released her new book Maybe We'll Make It .
She fronted our show with Letting Me Down from third album That's How Rumours Get Started that she produced with Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson while pregnant with daughter Ramona.
Margo played the famed Out On The Weekend festival at Williamstown and other Melbourne gigs on her 2018 Australian tour.
The Mid-West Farmer's Daughter and guitarist husband Jeremy Ivey became parents after that tour.
Margo also cut albums with Buffalo Clover and her Price Tags and two solo live albums.
She fronted Nu Country with Leftovers, A Little Pain, Desperate & Depressed, Weakness , Hurting on the Bottle, Hands Of Time and It's Not Drink Driving If You Are Riding a Horse and Twinkle-Twinkle inspired by a backstage conversation with Marty Stuart about tough truths of touring and illusory nature of success.

KAYLEE BELL CELEBRATES SMALL TOWN FRIDAY NIGHTS

Expat Kiwi Kaylee Bell boomerangs to our show after appearing on The Voice with a song she wrote about the show judge and mentor - fellow expat Kiwi Keith Urban.
Kaylee, 33, first recorded Keith for her 2019 EP The Red after her 2013 Tamworth Starmaker win.
She performed her #1 single We Were Us with Urban on his Light The Fuse Australian tour in 2014 and his 2016 Ripcord World Tour.
This time she hit the lost highway in her pick-up truck with trusty guitar playing in paddocks and way beyond.
Small Town Friday Nights is on her third album.
Bell is from Waimate on New Zealand 's south island and filmed her previous Nu Country Wasted On You video outside Nashville .
She supported The Chicks on their 2017 world tour in New Zealand to 30,000 fans and spent ten years travelling to Nashville writing and performing.
Her breakout song That's What I Call Crazy was followed by Getting Closer written with expat Novocastrian Morgan Evans.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling's favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 79, and son Shooter, 43.
