Georgian Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson ignite our spring series when they headline N u Country TV Wednesday October 5 at 8 pm.
Hunter Valley nine-time Golden Guitarist Lyn Bowtell and expat Australian Idol winner Wesley Dean return to the show repeated Saturday at 11.30 pm.
Missouri minstrel Nathaniel Rateliff appears on the eve of his 44 th birthday on October 7 on the program filmed and edited by our multi-talented lockdown producer-host Laith Graham.
NSW Central coast raised singer-songwriter Bryce Sainty and expat Kiwi Liam Kennedy Clark also debut on the show this week.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

OLD KING COLE RETURN ROLE

Old king Cole Swindell and young Louisiana star Lainey Wilson hit the road again with their duet video.
Cole, 39, is joined by Lainey, 30, who was born in small Louisiana town Baskin before heading to Nashville after she finished high school.
Lainey wrote What Would Dolly Do for third album Saying What I'm Thinking and releases fourth album Bell Bottom Country on October 28.
This time she duets on their Never Say Never video on Cole's fourth album Stereotype.
Cole escaped from the alley and kitchen to the beach and back to love by the fire in his previous Nu Country video for All Of It - title track of his third Top 10 album.
Cole has written hits for Aussie tourists Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett.
He honoured his dad William, who died in a freak accident at 65 in 2013, in the video for the title track of his second album You Should Be Here .
Cole included footage of the final phone call to his dad before his career took off.
He explained his dad endorsed his desire for a music career but died shortly after he was signed to major label Warner.
"He supported me and was so proud,” Swindell recalled.

LYN BOWTELL SWIMS IN TYPING POOL

Queensland born Lyn Bowtell had a captive audience - a typing pool - in her Nu Country TV return.
The nine-time Golden guitarist, now 56, lives in the Hunter Valley and has recorded albums with her embryonic band Bella and Felicity and Kevin Bennett.
I Won't Do That Again is on her fifth solo album Wiser out in May.
The Maitland minstrel also fronted Nu Country with the video for the evocative title track of her fourth album Heart Of Sorrow.
Lynn is well qualified to sing of sorrow - she has boomeranged from divorce.
So has her producer Shane Nicholson - former singing spouse of Kasey Chambers.
Lyn appeared live on Nu Country in 2004 with Golden Guitar winning trio Bella at the 15th Bunyip Country Music Festival where she was interviewed and filmed by former Nu Country TV host Heather Rutherford.

Missouri minstrel Nathaniel Rateliff returns to our Behind Bars segment after going on the road again with his mentor Shotgun Willie Nelson at his July 4 picnics and Outlaw Music Festivals.
The latter day Colorado singer, who celebrates his 44 th birthday on October 7, dug deep into his emotions in his new video And It's Still Alright - title track of his seventh album.
It included Willie's Birthday Song and Pass Me The Joint .
Nathaniel and his Night Sweats band released his 10th album The Future in 2021.

BRYCE SAINTY FINDS SUMMER LOVE

Bryce Sainty, who was raised at Woy-Woy on the NSW central coast, is a frequent Nashville tourist and music teacher and well qualified to celebrate summer.
Bryce wrote This Summer's The One with fellow Sydney singer Melanie Dyer and expat Aussie Phil Barton for his second EP Hometown out this year.
He also co-wrote Fight For It with Sinead Burgess and Jade Holland for The Mental Awareness Foundation where Jade is an ambassador.
Jade filmed Fight For It at the annual Walk for Awareness event in Brisbane where she led thousands of Queenslanders in the streets.
Bryce co-wrote his 2018 hit Eleven-Eleven with expat Novocastrian Morgan Evans.
He also released Something I Want, Never Going Back, Table For Two, Goodbye, Nervous and Do You Remember and On The Weekend - also summer anthems.

WESLEY DEAN IGNITES A GASLIGHTER

Expat Aussie singer-songwriter Wesley Dean returns to Nu Country with a song he wrote in Nashville.
Dean, 40, won the 2008 Australian Idol as Wes Carr and recorded as Buffalo Tales.
Wesley, wife Charlotte and their two children moved to Nashville in 2021.
He sang Gaslighter live at Soultrain Sound studios with Jo-Anna Janet.
It's on his sixth album Unknown album cut with Charlie Lowell.
He fronted Nu Country with his Eleven One video on his album that also includes Never Thought of You - a song about divorce.

LIAM KENNEDY CLARK GAME AND TRADE

Expat Kiwi and latter day Sunshine Coast singer Liam Kennedy Clark moved here at 17 and explored writing and performing that he exposes in his new home state and beyond.
He also drove, sang and played guitar on his not so lost highway when he fronted his band with a bucolic backdrop in his new video.
Liam wrote Game & Trade with fellow Queenslander Kelly Cork.
It follows his album Another Habit.
“After I decided that music was what I wanted to do with my life, I was faced with a myriad of questions, like my Dad's "when are you going to get a real job", Liam revealed.
“While a musician' life doesn't follow the typical 9-5 schedule of other trades, far more work goes on behind the scenes than what is often jeered. Life in the creative industries isn't easy and my new single Game & Trade reflects my experience as musician.
“Last year I moved down to Maitland with my partner where we quickly faced the reality of how hard it is to find a place to live that's not half fallen down or an instant decline when applying as a full-time musician and uni student respectively. It's hard work out there especially after the last couple of years, but we found a place we now call home.”

WIN WAYLON, GEORGE JONES AND MERLE HAGGARD

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling's favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 79, and son Shooter, 43.
