The duo showcases a healthy hybrid of Americana and country rock with a hot band in their psychedelia ignited video The Beginning Of The End for Catherine's indie Beverley Hillbillies Record label. “Lachlan and I have always clicked in life and in song” Catherine, 37, revealed. “And we've always had an unspoken understanding and respect for one another. These songs came so easy - they flowed out of us like a raging stream. I just want more honest, real music in the world and I couldn't think of a better person to make it with!” “I don't think know anyone else who feels and understands country music the way Catherine does”, Lachlan explained. Catherine released her ninth album Home Truths in January last year and Mornington Peninsula born Bryan released seven albums including some with The Wildes The Beginning Of The End is their debut for Catherine's Beverley Hillbillies Record label. LUCIE TIGER MIDNIGHT GOODBYE Sydney singer-songwriter Lucie Tiger shows how to celebrate after a ruptured romance in her return. Jay Seeney filmed her Midnight Goodbye video at The Ranch in Sydney as her American band provided instrumental backing from historic Fame studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Midnight Goodbye is on her debut album Alabama Highway. Lucie twice toured overseas before the pandemic but recorded here in iso. She was joined by Cocoa - her Bernese Mountain Dog at Centennial Park in the NSW capital city in her previous video Found My Way Home. Her album features the singles Do Me Right, Next To You and three new songs. Her 2019 EP title track Gasoline won best Country Blues Song of Year at 2021 Tamworth Songwriters Association Awards. She returned to Muscle Shoals in April to perform and record after two American tours that including recording at Ocean Way studio, Nashville, Sun Studio, Memphis, and Fame. Bowen, 45, has released 15 albums including two with fellow Texan Randy Rogers. Wade and Randy previously appeared on Nu Country with humorous Rhinestoned and Rodeo Clown videos. Texas Tech University graduate Bowen also appeared with Death, Dying & Devilled Eggs, Day Of The Dead, Who I Am, Say Anything, When I Woke Up Today and duet with Rogers for Standards on their joint album Hold My Beer, Volume 1. This week Wade performs When Love Comes Around from his 16th album Where Phones Don't Work that precedes his 17th album Somewhere Between The Secret And The Truth released on August 12. Rogers keeps traditional country alive at his Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos. He bought the venue that staged live country since 1974, including one of Randy's albums in 2000, from the family of late singer-songwriter Kent Finlay in 2015. Cheatham Street Warehouse hosted songwriters open mic night every Wednesday for more than 40 years. Guest artists included Randy, Hal Ketchum, James McMurtry, Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ernest Tubb, Townes Van Zandt, Todd Snider, Terri Hendrix, Bruce Robison, Tish Hinojosa, Adam Carroll, Walt Wilkins, Will and Charlie Sexton. “We grew up on fiddle and steel in Texas ,” Randy explained. “We learned to play guitar from Willie Nelson records. It's part of the fabric of who we were. You can't take that out. Sisters Nata and Tinka Morris on guitar and drums ignite their Volcanic video filmed in an East Nashville warehouse studio. Grammy winning fiddler Tammy Rogers of The Steel Drivers guested with guitarist Pete Horne and bassist Will Garrett on the song that follows previous single Quicksand. Nata and Tinka former Southern Halo with their third sister Hannah and released their Just Like in the Movies album in 2018. Further info - https://www.americanblondemusic.com/ SIERRA FERRELL IN DREAMS West Virginian Sierra Ferrell returns after performing two Out on The Weekend festivals at Steamworks on the dock of the bay in Williamstown. Sierra, 33, rose from busking to hit writing and this week mounts a horse at the Sacred Dog Farm in Fairview, Tennessee, to illustrate her video. She performs In Dreams - one of 12 songs she wrote for debut disc Long Time Coming produced by Australian indie musician Stu Hibberd and 10-time Grammy winner Gary Paczosa. It was recorded at Nashville 's Southern Ground and Minutia studios and features guests Billy Strings, Dennis Crouch, Jerry Douglas, Rory Hoffman, Jedd Hughes, Sarah Jarosz, Julie Lee, Justin Moses, Tim O'Brien and Chris Scruggs. Ferrell began performing in a local bar when she was seven. A chance encounter with a troupe of nomadic musicians inspired her to leave home in her early twenties and join them as they travelled across the country playing everywhere from freight train boxcars to truck stops. After a few years busking on Seattle and New Orleans streets she moved to Nashville and signed with Rounder in 2019. They formed in 2005 in New Jersey and are based in Boulder, Colorado. The Lumineers revisited love in country towns in their new Bright Side video - title track of their fourth album after seven EPS and 19 singles. Founding members are lead guitarist-vocalist Wesley Schultz and drummer, pianist and percussionist Jeremiah Fraites. Cellist-vocalist Neyla Pekarek joined in 2010 and was a member until 2018. Their hits include Ho Hey, Stubborn Love, Ophelia, Angela and Cleopatra. Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas. Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 79, and son Shooter, 43.
