Texan Sunny Sweeney and her producer Paul Cauthen headed to the desert to honour her late mother in a legal double shot.
Sunny, now 45, is married to an Austin police sergeant and is joined on her sixth album Married Alone by Vince Gill - son of a late judge
Sunny packed her bags and sang of love for her mother in the desert on A Song Can't Fix Everything she recorded with Cauthen.
“I was stepping into the elevator at my hotel as we were leaving Chicago after a great run, and this title popped into my head,” Sweeney revealed of the song she wrote with prolific Massachusetts minstrel-hit writer Lori McKenna - now 53 and mother of five children.
“It's about just trying to find those three minutes of happiness you get relating to something and taking yourself out of your everyday life. Letting yourself slip away, it can feel like it's going to be okay, even if, ultimately, it may not be.”
Married Alone, produced by Cauthen and Beau Beauford of The Texas Gentlemen, has another single Easy As Hello penned with McKenna and is released on September 23 via Thirty Tigers.

Sunny also launched her new morning radio show Sunny Side Up on Sirius XM's Willie's Roadhouse.
Her previous albums had collaborations with McKenna who wrote Grammy winning Little Big Town hit Girl Crush and singing actor Tim McGraw's smash Humble And Kind.
Lori's hit The Bird & The Rifle was also title of her Dave Cobb produced 11th album.

LUKE COMBS CELEBRATES LOVE IN THE ASHES

North Carolina chart topper Luke Combs returns with his tribute to first responders who found love in the ashes of a fire they extinguished.
The duo ignited passion fires with a difference when they met on the scene of an historic house fire they quelled.
The fire fighter and paramedic celebrated their meeting at the fire scene with ice creams and kisses.
Luke, 32, filmed The Kind of Love We Make at Dickson fire station near Nashville.
It's on his third album Growing Up released on June 24 after huge selling two albums This One's For You 2 and What You See Is What You Get that were re-released as deluxe double discs.
"I wrote this song in Montana with Dan and Reid Isbell and my guitar tech Jamie Davis, who used to be in a band with Dan” Combs revealed.
“I met Jamie through Dan. Jamie had the idea, and Dan and Reid brought it to me, and I thought it was a killer melody. It ended up being one of those songs that wrote itself. Dan, Reid and I are all having kids within a month of each other, so maybe this song had something to do with that."
Combs and wife Nicole celebrated the birth of son Tex on Father's Day after his duet with Texan Miranda Lambert on Outrunning Your Memory on his album.

Veteran outlaw country star Hank Williams Jr searches for a higher being on his return to our show in Behind Bars.
Hank, now 72, is live in the studio with his hot band en route to meet his maker in a church of his choice.
Bocephus survived a near fatal fall from Ajax Mountain in Montana on August 8, 1975, and has sold more than 70 million albums since 1964.
His recovery from multiple skull and facial fractures inspired 1983 TV movie Living Proof.
Bocephus went on the road, aged eight, singing songs by famed father Hank Sr and at 17 starred in his first movie - A Time To Sing.
He also appeared in Roadie with Meatloaf, Roy Orbison, Alice Cooper, Joe Ely and Asleep At The Wheel.
Jesus, Won't You Come By Here is on his 57th album Rich White Honky Blues released on June 17.
The 13 song album, produced by Grammy winner Dan Auerbach, includes singles Georgia Woman, Fireman Ring the Bell and 44 Special Blues.
Bocephus fourth wife Mary Jane Thomas, died at 58 on March 22 in Jupiter, Florida , after an operation.

NASHVILLAINS IN CHICASAW BAYOU JAIL BREAK

The Nashvillains head to a Chicasaw Bayou for a jail break to expand our legal theme in Behind Bars.
The trio raise hell in the jail break when their prisoner escaped to lay roses at his dead lover's grave.
Chickasaw Bayou follows another prison video There To Catch Me on their debut album Tumbling Down.
It was filmed in Nashville , directed by Brian Vaughn and portrays a prisoner breaking free from his jail cell to chase hope of being with his love once again and laying a rose at her graveside.
Chickasaw Bayou is adorned with orange jumpsuits, an ingenious escape, the possibility of freedom and three Nashvillains guitarists.
“Brian did an amazing job putting the end product together,” Nashvillains singer Brett Boyett said.
“He captured our idea perfectly and made our lyrics come to life. The video makes you feel like you've been sentenced to life behind bars without the possibility of parole. There's no maximum-security prison that can hold the Nashvillains.”
Band members Boyett and Scott Lindsey met in a writing session and enlisted Troy Johnson to form the trio.
They have written and produced music for movies, TV shows and major artists The Chicks , Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, Cassadee Pope, James Taylor, Lauren Alaina and others.

BRENDAN MCMAHON BUSH SINGALONG

Ferny Creek singer-songwriter Brendan McMahon, now 58, began his love of the bush from his South Australian stock and station agent sire.
It was easy for Brendan who was born at Kapunda near the Barossa Valley to sing along to the radio as he drove his Ute in the bush on a dark night.
Back Roads is on his sixth solo album As The Road Unfolds that was released on June 17.
It also features his Gundrys' Track video on our show and evocative maternal homage video Mother from his fourth album In The Moment and I Am inspired by childhood wanderlust.
Brendan followed his music east to Rowville - not Nashville - where he wrote songs about a steer named Morris and an echidna who remains nameless.

Quirindi born latter day Coffs Harbour belle Billie-Jo Porter travelled a different path to late Texan Billy Joe Shaver on his traumatic trips.
Billie-Jo debuts on our show with her joyous journey video in Canada .
The top ten Toyota Star Maker grand finalist wrote More Than Friends with Kiewa Valley singer Gretta Ziller.
“ More Than Friends was born out of that Friend Zone space,” Billie-Jo revealed.
“Where two people are hanging out, one likes the other - then where does that lead. The idea for this song was pretty much taken from my life. I'd moved to Canada , met Kyle my now partner and we were hanging out as friends. It was kind of awkward as we both seemed to like each other but were not game enough to lay our cards on the table and admit it. We co-wrote More Than Friends over a video call. From the union of two females bound to yield ballsy and confident tune. It's from the perspective of a woman who knows what she wants and doesn't have time for any more games”.

The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 79, and son Shooter, 43.
