ADAM HARVEY HEADLINES NU COUNTRY TV
Former Geelong truckie and prolific Golden Guitarist Adam Harvey headlines Nu Country TV Saturday March 27 at 9.30 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44.
Californian singer-songwriter Devin Dawson, Georgian Kip Moore and North Carolina star Eric Church return to the show hosted by Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and repeated Wednesday at 11.30 pm.
Adelaide born Melody Moko and Sydney songwriter nurse Ben Ransom also appear on our program edited by our multi-talented lockdown producer Laith Graham.
We also celebrate the late Waylon Jennings legacy with one of his major hits.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

ADAM VISITS RUM DISTILLERY

Geelong born Adam Harvey performs in one of his favourite locales - Bundaberg rum distillery on return.
Adam describes rum as “sweetest nectar in the world” as he revives the quote “all for one and one for all”.
The former truckie, 46, lives on NSW Central Coast when not out on the lost highway - home away from home.
All For Rum is on his 16th album Songs From Highway One he produced at The Music Cellar on NSW Central Coast with engineer Jeff McCormack.
Adam relished his producer role.
“I've had all sorts of different producers through the years,” he revealed, “and I just thought, ‘Why don't I have a crack at it myself?' It's another challenge and a whole lot more work than I actually expected. I learnt a hell of a lot too.”
Adam penned songs with peers including Graeme Connors and Colin Buchanan.
He wrote Lindeman Again with Connors about the story of his dad and his love for the town of Mackay.
“I actually went up to Mackay to write a song with Graeme about my dad,” Adam explained.
“Dad spent a lot of time in Mackay. Until the day he died, he always said it was his favourite place. I've always wanted to write the song, and I think for me it's probably, personally, one of the most special songs, because it's all about dad.”

DEVIN DAWSON HONOURS GRANDFATHER

Californian Devin Dawson celebrates Harvey 's former career with a tribute to his major inspiration - his truckie grandfather and grandmother.
Devin performs an emotional video for He Loved Her - penned with Nicolle Galyon and Jordan Reynolds - from new EP Pink Slip that follows debut album Dark Horse.
" He Loved Her is one of the most important songs I've ever written or released," Devin revealed.
"It's inspired by my grandfather, Jerry. My rock. It's different from other songs I've written because it's simple and to the point, which is sometimes hard for me to accomplish as a writer. I'm proud of the words, the music, and the tribute it pays to one of the most important people I'll ever know."
Dawson celebrated his 32nd birthday on January 30 and toured here in 2019 with Brandy Clark and Canadians Tenille Townes and Lindsey Ell.

KIP MOORE GRANNY GROOVER

Georgian Kip Moore pays tribute to a hedonistic jiving granny in beach-town bliss in a rush of endorphins.
Moore, who turns 41 next week, found his femme fatale decked out in wigs, furs and balloons in his How High video from the deluxe version of his self-produced fourth album Wild World.
Kip played 2018 CMC Rocks Queensland festival and Melbourne Forum with Lee Brice and Charlie Worsham but his 2020 Australian tour with Jimmie Allen was cancelled because of the pandemic.
In absentia he fronted a choir in a valley beyond the ocean in previous video In The Wild in Mojave Desert in California .
It was one of 13 original songs he wrote for Wild World .
“I know it's an unsettling time for a lot of people right now, and so my hope is that this music can bring even just one person some peace,” Moore revealed.
“I try to make music that reaches people in a pure sense, something that's light and easy to carry with you, but 1000 pounds of weight at the same time, and I think Wild World is just a depiction of what I see. Life is one crazy, wild ride. But it can be so simple if we look for the right things, and I think that is more important than ever right now.”
Moore, one of six children, debuted at Snowy Mountains country festival at Thredbo and CMC Rocks Queensland in 2016 and produced 33 minute documentary The Journey To Slowheart.

ERIC HEADS BACK TO CHURCH

North Carolina nouveau outlaw and 2020 CMA entertainer of the year Eric Church returns Behind Bars after performing the national anthem with Jazmine Sullivan at the Super Bowl game in Florida.
Eric, now 43, acted out a true story in isolation in his Doing Life With Me video on his 10th album Heart And Soul - a triple disc - out in April.
His iso videos featured him solo and with his Church Choir and singer Joanna Cotten.
“I have three albums coming out in April. They came out of my 28 days in the mountains of North Carolina , where the songs were recorded and written. The collection is entitled Heart & Soul ,” Church revealed.
Eric explored a month-long creative process in this 24-song collection that features elite songwriters who joined secluded marathon writing and recording sessions.
“I've always been intrigued when a song is born in a writer room - there is a magic that happens there,” Church explained.
“I wanted to put that in the studio form. So, every day, we would write a song in the morning and we would record the song that night. Doing it that way allowed for the songwriters to get involved in the studio process and the musicians to be involved in the creative process. You felt a little bit like you were secretly doing something that was special, and you knew it. You started going, ‘hmm, wait 'til the world finds out about this.'”
Producer Jay Joyce, vocalist Cotten and his Church Choir band joined some of Nashville 's best studio musicians on the albums.
“It's been a long 10 months. With the power of music and love for each other, we will get through this, we will gather again soon. I cannot wait to play this music for you live.”

Adelaide born 2021 best new talent Tamworth Golden Guitarist Melody Moko celebrates maternity on her return with her growing family in her Mama video - third single on second album Two Kids And A Radio, produced by her husband Michael Muchow
Moko, 32, celebrated birth of her third child this month long after heading to Newcastle and Queensland where she joined Catherine Britt on tours and songwriting including previous single Last Cigarette.
Muchow and Britt produced her debut album The Wreckage that followed EP Walk That Wire .
Melody's U.S. tours included concerts at famed Bluebird Café and Tootsie's Orchid lounge in Nashville and Continental Club in Austin , Texas .

BEN RANSOM – WHAT HIS MAMMA SAID

Randwick singer-songwriter and Anaesthesia nurse Ben Ransom recalls maternal advice in his Mamma Said video from his fourth album Brave New World on the Country Rocks label.
Ben performed in triplicate in his Roxy concert video.
When Ransom first toured Europe in 1999 he worked as a nurse while singing for his supper.
It enabled him to keep dingoes from his door as he used the Walkabout Hotel as his mecca and exposed his music to enthusiastic expatriate Australians and others on the Continent and way beyond.
Ransom's popularity expanded from his Shepherd's Bush Covent Garden launch pads before he boomeranged home to our bush on tours and festivals to promote original songs from four albums.
Ben's benevolence to patients enabled him to use his songs as therapy for family tragedies including premature deaths of his mother at 62 and brother at 48 from brain cancer and another young relative from a stroke.
His mother inspired maternal wisdom song Mamma Said and family tragedies sourced Never Can Tell and Coming Down In Spades from Brave New World that was inspired by Aldous Huxley.

WAYLON WAYMORE'S BLUES

Late Texan outlaw king Waylon Jennings revives his historic Waymore's Blues from one of his albums you can win by becoming a Nu Country TV member or renewing your membership.
They are among albums by Waylon, Willie, George Jones, Merle Haggard and Highwaymen donated by country historian Barbara Dowling who died at 77 on December 11, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era.
The pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and pursuing country music passion with regular trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas .
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002 and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 77, and son Shooter, 41.
