Minnesota minstrel Jake Rose debuts on the show hosted by Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and repeated Thursday at 5 am.
Alabama icon Jamey Johnson returns live to Behind Bars on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Tamworth singer-songwriter Charlie Collins and NSW Central Coast trucking troubadour Jayne Denham also return.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Chart-topping North Carolina nouveau outlaw Luke Combs returns with his live version of 1,2 Many, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The new drinking anthem on huge selling second album What You See Is What You Get features prolific Grammy winners Brooks & Dunn on the album version.
Luke, now 30, played St Kilda Palais on March 13, 2019, with Arkansas traveller Ashley McBryde who also returns this week.
Combs has since released topical video Six Feet Apart, Does To Me and Without You.
He became engaged to Nicole Hocking in late 2018.
She inspired a previous hit Loving On You that appeared on his five track EP Prequel and second album.
It followed smash debut deluxe disc This One's For You 2 - #1 for 44 weeks on Billboard country album charts.
Combs broke a record set by Randy Travis Always and Forever that spent 43 non-consecutive weeks No.1 in 1987-1988.
His album holds second-longest run at No.1 for a country album after Shania Twain's 1997 album Come On Over 50 weeks reign.
Combs recorded Let's Just Be Friends for The Angry Birds Movie 2 soundtrack.
He was 29 when inducted into Grand Ole Opry on June 11, 2019, by fellow stars Craig Morgan, Chris Janson and John Conlee.
Combs charted five tracks from The Prequel on Billboard Top 25 in June - a feat not accomplished since Johnny Cash in 1959.

ASHLEY HANGS IN THERE

Arkansas farm refugee and fellow nouveau outlaw Ashley McBryde returns with vigilante advice for peers.
She graphically describes what to do when she discovers a motel mistress's body in the boot of her Plymouth in her Hang In There Girl video.
Destroy all the evidence - bury the body and take the Plymouth to the wreckers.
Hang In There Girl is on McBryde's sixth album Never Will, released in April.
It's the latest in a three part story-line of videos and was inspired by a teenage girl McBryde saw on a drive down a remote highway near her home.
When I saw that girl that day on Highway 267, she was out by the mailbox and she was just kicking the dirt and looked frustrated at the world, McBryde revealed.
She was probably about 15. I really did want to stop and tell her, I grew up really similarly to you and this is what you turn into. You are an adult, you have a job, you have a car, and I know it sucks right now, but you are going to be OK. I know it feels like the world is teeny-tiny but I promise you it's big, and you get to find out.' We looked at starting the record with One Night Standards. Manager John Peets and I would each listen to the record in different orders. We put Hang In There, Girl first, because we deal with themes of death and hurt and betrayal on the album, so we wanted it to start with a message of hope and perseverance.
Ashley, 36, played the Drake Hotel manager in Nashville in her cheating scenario in One Night Standards.
"My manager, John Peets, and I had this idea to listen to the record and see what stories appeared, what threads of ideas were consistent in the songs we had gathered and what characters stood out," McBryde explained.
"I got out my sketch pad, and we wrote down each song from the record and each character. It looked like a crazy road map. It looked like a child had drawn it. But there it was. A way to connect every song and every video."
Ashley is one of eight children of a Mammoth Springs farmer and preacher and played 2019 CMC Rocks Queensland festival and St Kilda Palais with Combs.
Never Will follows fifth album Girl Going Nowhere - she wrote the previous disc title track the day after Texan mentor Guy died at 74 on May 17, 2016.
Ashley rides in the slipstream of Ray Wylie Hubbard, David Allan Coe and late Texans Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark.
She recruited three young god-sons in her American Scandal video, honoured her dad in Radio Land and debuted Behind Bars in A Little Dive Bar In Dahlonega.
Ashley wrote it with Nicolette Hayford and Jesse Rice about a Georgian honky-tonk in a town of 5,200 people.
She released her debut EP in 2006 before four indie albums and her latest two produced by Jay Joyce.

JAKE ROSE IN A TRACTOR TOWN

Minnesota export Jake Rose grew up on a pumpkin farm in Hamel where tractors, trucks and cows were staples in his adolescence as he grew up listening to his dad and uncle's band Stampede.
Born Jake Scherer, he took his stage name Rose from his baby sister, who died before she was two.
He takes viewers on a trip in his Tractor Town video from his debut solo album after fronting his New Medicine band.
It follows him writing songs for Meatloaf, Colt Ford, Keith Urban and Kid Rock.
I remember a lot of mud, the cows, and the cold weather, Rose revealed of his video.
I was instantly transported back in time to growing up on a farm in Minnesota . It was a familiar feeling. I felt right at home again, back in boots, back to my roots. I think this video does a great job showing what it really looks like for a lot of small-town farm folks around the country. Life is a little less fast-paced, the two-lane roads, the cows, the barns, the old tractors, the little main street town we shot in. It's like you're living in a little snow-globe farm town growing up that way, because it's beautifully simple.
And source of the song he wrote with Brett Tyler and Brett Beavers?
I wrote this song based around how I grew up in a small town Hamel, Minnesota where tractors took up the road often, and often it was someone in my family driving them, Rose explained.
We tried to encapsulate what that feeling is like in this song. I hope people see this video and see a beautiful side of American farmers and small towns. This video is meant to celebrate and embrace small-town, hard-working folks and farmers across the country. There's a common bond between all who grew up like this, and I hope people can relate to the lyrics and feel a little more connected. I also want the audience to know, I was another farm kid from a small town who chased down a dream of making music and truly anything is possible with hard work.

Alabama outlaw Jamey Johnson returns to Behind Bars live with time travel to an historic Farm Aid Concert.
He recalled Baptist battles before prison cured his sins and the high cost of living led to his costs of living high.
Johnson's life on the edge also echoed the plight of subsistence farmers
High Cost Of Living was originally on That Lonesome Song - his second album in 2008.
Jamey, now 44, has two later albums including a Hank Cochran tribute disc.

Former Blue Mountains belle Jayne Denham headed north to Alaska to film with the cast of Ice Road Truckers History Channel TV show - Lisa Kelly, Carey Hall, Maya Sieber and Reno Ward. This show depicts semi-truck drivers with nerves of steel who brave Arctic weather and put their lives on the line to drive across frozen lakes and rivers to deliver supplies to remote areas in Canada and Alaska . I have spent a lot of time over the years talking to truckers and I love how passionate they are about what they do, the places they see, the vehicles they drive and the miles they achieve, Denham revealed. The NSW Central coast trucking queen sang of her daily pick me ups in Black Coffee & White Lines - final single on fourth album Calamity. We had a fantastic time releasing the new single with a launch party in Dallas at the Great American Truckin Show, Denham added . |

CHARLIE COLLINS NOT IN A ROCK BAND

Tamworth export Charlie Collins headed south to sin city Sydney to showcase music choice in her new video that graphically depicted why she exorcises rock band memories. Charlie, now 32 and born Charlene Joyce Bailey, cut an album with her family group Chasing Bailey and was also in rock band Tigertown. I Don't Want To Be In A Rock Band follows her solo country album Snowpine. She also appeared on Nu Country with Please Let Me Go where she used her map to head for relief of mountains to chase dreams and escape her demons. Collins says the album is a passionate, unfiltered portrayal of her life, containing some of her most personal work. Snowpine is about my journey from when I was a kid, to now, Collins revealed. |
I'm nervous and excited to release this vulnerable body of work. I expose a lot about who I am, what I've been through, people I love who have suffered, and what I still struggle with. I hope you enjoy my life book, my story, and maybe understand me a little better.
The album was released before her national support of Kasey Chambers 20th Anniversary tour of The Captain in 2019.
