JON PARDI HEADLINES NU COUNTRY TV
Californian singer-songwriter Jon Pardi headlines Nu Country TV on Saturday December 28 at 9.30 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44.
Georgian born singing actor-author and TV host Trisha Yearwood returns and fellow Georgian Jontavious Willis and Missouri born Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats perform a live double shot in Behind Bars on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Tamworth singer-songwriter Charlie Collins debuts on the show featuring the return of Gladstone gaucho Jack Viljoen.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Californian Jon Pardi proves life imitated art on his Nu Country TV return.
Pardi's character took a few nips at the bar before hitting the dance floor in his honky-tonk anthem.
But Jon stuck to singing and didn't try to mount mechanical bulls or live rivals in his video for his third album title track Heartache Medication.
It worked for him.
His heart balm was rewarded when he was engaged on stage at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in October.
Pardi, 34, toured Australia in April and May with Brett Eldredge.
He appeared on Nu Country on April 21, 2018, when he borrowed imagery from the Hud movie to drive his message for She Ain't In It from his second album California, released in June, 2016.
It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard country chart with 24,000 sales.
Pardi revealed the video's cinematic style came from an old treatment of 2016 hit Dirt On My Boots.
Jon was opening act on Texan tourist Miranda Lambert's Livin' Like Hippies Tour.
He was also on Nu Country with Heartache On The Dance Floor, Dirt On My Boots, Head Over Boots, Back On The Back Roads and What I Can't Put Down.
Pardi grew up in Dixon but ignited his career at Butte Junior College in Chico where he started Northern Comfort and moved to Nashville on February 23, 2008, with his dog, PA system and $7,000 savings.
He used a credit card to pay for lifeguard training to earn money until landing a publishing deal 18 months later.

Trisha Yearwood acted out her female empowerment dreams when she was joined by a bevy of babes of all ages in her new video for Every Girl - her 14th album title track.
Trisha's third husband Garth Brooks , Kelly Clarkson and Eagles star Don Henley are also album guests.
Her co-writers include nouveau outlaw Ashley McBryde, who toured here with Luke Combs in March, and Gretchen Peters who was a 2001 Nu Country FM studio guest at the Paris, Texas, end of Collins Street.
Trisha, now 55, hosts TV shows and writes cook-books in her breaks from music and acting.
She first toured Australia in 1998 with her second singing spouse - bassist Robert Reynolds who was later fired from Floridian band The Mavericks.
They wed on May 21 in 1994 but divorced in 1999.
Trisha acted in TV shows including Jag and Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman and hosts Trisha's Southern Kitchen on the U.S. Food Network and writes cook-books.
Her recipe for Garth's Breakfast Bowl includes eight large eggs, a pound each of bacon & sausage, cheese tortellini, cheddar cheese, tater tots and a Bowl Of Butter.
It's not clear what Trish cooked up with first husband - musician Chris Latham.
They wed in 1987 and divorced in 1991.
In 2000 after Brooks filed for divorce from estranged wife Sandy he dated Trisha in her four-year hiatus from music.
On May 25, 2005, Garth proposed to Trisha in front of 7,000 fans in Bakersfield , California - on December 10, 2005, they were married in a private ceremony at the couple's home in Owasso , Oklahoma .
Trisha released her 11th album Prize Fighter in 2015.

JONTAVIOUS WILLIS - A TANGLE NOT A TRISH TRIANGLE

Fellow Georgian Jontavious Willis debuts on Behind Bars with plenty of mates and some hot in-house picking.
The moral of Willis's tale was in the tail - keep your dog well fed in your pick-up truck.
That way he or she has the energy to be free and hunt in the bush.
Willis, 23, performs a healthy hybrid of country-soul and R & B in his social comment tune The World Is In a Tangle from his second album Spectacular Class.
It was produced by Grammy award-winning artists Taj Mahal and Keb Mo.
Willis hails from Greenville and grew up singing gospel music at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with his grandfather.
In 2015 Mahal asked Willis to play on stage with him.
Spectacular Class follows debut 2016 album, Blue Metamorphosis .

CHARLIE COLLINS SNOWPINE

Tamworth singer-songwriter Charlie Collins debuts on Nu Country on the eve of concerts at her hometown's annual festival. Charlie used her map to head for relief of mountains to chase dreams and escape her demons in her Please Let Me Go video from debut album Snowpine on Mirror Records. Collins says the album is a passionate, unfiltered portrayal of her life, containing some of her most personal work. “ Snowpine is about my journey from when I was a kid, to now,” Collins revealed. “I'm nervous and excited to release this vulnerable body of work. I expose a lot about who I am, what I've been through, people I love who have suffered, and what I still struggle with. I hope you enjoy my life book, my story, and maybe understand me a little better.” The album was released before her national support of Kasey Chambers 20th Anniversary tour of The Captain that opened on September 13. |
Kasey was a strong influence in Collins' decision to pursue a music career.

NAT WORKS UP HIS NIGHT SWEATS

Missouri born country roots artist Nathaniel Rateliff and his Night Sweats debut Behind Bars .
The latter day Denver singer-guitarist and his octet toured here in April after Byron Bay blues festival.
They revived Hey Mama from his eighth album Tearing At The Seams.
Nathaniel's band is a popular act at Willie Nelson's July 4 festivals and Farm Aid.
Rateliff, 41, also released two solo albums and one as Nathaniel Rateliff and the Wheel.
He was born in St. Louis and grew up in rural Missouri , learning drums at seven in his family's gospel band.
When Rateliff was just 13 his father was killed in a car crash.
He taught himself guitar and began writing songs.
At 18 he moved to Denver for missionary work but after internal struggles with life in the Church he moved home to Hermann for work in a plastic factory.
A few months later he returned to Denver as a carpenter, then at a trucking depot where he remained - at first in the yard and then on the dock - for 10 years before becoming a gardener.

JACK VILJOEN – GLADSTONE DROUGHT BREAKER

Gladstone gaucho Jack Viljoen returns with his plea for rain to break the national drought.
Jack dug deep into pain of neighbours and farmers all over his sunburnt country as thunder roared in his video for Rain from his second album released this year.
The South African born singer's family also suffer drought in their home-land.
Jack also honoured heroes who toured here as The Highwaymen in his previous video for As Cool As Johnny Cash on September 14 and My Friend The Fiddler on August 24.
He grew up near Kruger National Park in a region of mines and power stations - part of the Transvaal .
Jack drew on his youthful memories to create a series of poetic Afrikaans on five original songs on his EP,
Ekwilsing, released on August 5, 2018.
"My dad's family had nine brothers and sisters and they'd all play instruments and sing and carry on," Viljoen said.
"They'd get together and make a lot of music. It would sound really good at the beginning of the night but as the whiskey flowed, it would start to get really bad. We all just had a ball."
