Chart topping Tennessee troubadour Kenny Chesney and Brothers Osborne headline Nu Country TV on Saturday July 28 at 9 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44.
Prolific Kentucky Coalminer's son Chris Stapleton also returns with soulful live music on the show repeated Sunday 11.30 pm and Monday 3 pm.
Mid-West Farmer's daughter Margo Price and Indiana singer-songwriter Alex Williams perform in our live Behind Bars segment on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Sydney singer-songwriter Katie Brianna also showcases a floral video with sharp thorns.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

KENNY CHESNEY BLUE CHAIR BAY COCKTAILS
Kenny Chesney opens up music for his No Shoes Nation fans and international viewers on his Nu Country TV return.

They sipped on Blue Chair Bay cocktails and other concert nips in Tiki bars and tailgate parties at his concerts. There was definitely no dreary dress restrictions or by-laws for hedonistic country fans on his Trip Around The Sun tour despite knee and ankle injuries in a marathon six hour concert with Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion in Kansas City on July 15. Get Along is on the 50-year-old Knoxville knight's 20th album Songs For The Saints released on July 27 for the St Kilda Football Club resurgence. It was Kenny's 30 th #1 hit, making him the country singer with most No. 1 hits. “I can't think of a better song to set a record,” Chesney revealed. “Everything it says is everything I think makes the world a better place. To have something that has a groove that feels so good wrapped around a song that reminds us it's the things that bring us together that will make us happy. When you get right down to it Get Along is a great way to have some pretty important life advice delivered.” |
Get Along was written by Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman and Josh Osborne and preceded new single Better Boat.
Proceeds from Songs for the Saints benefit Chesney's Love for Love City Foundation, dedicated to relief efforts in the Virgin Islands
Chesney last appeared on Nu Country with his video for Pretty Girls from his 19th album Cosmic Hallelujah.
He anonymously flew two siblings from the Caribbean in his private jet to their Philadelphia home after they were stranded by Hurricane Irma.
Teenagers Jah-Haile and Jahbioseh Bruce were in their childhood home on St. John.
They survived Irma with their grandfather but lost everything and were taken to St. Croix on a private boat.
Chesney recorded and produced a new line of merchandise to aid victims of Irma.
Kenny owns a home on Caribbean island St John where he wed actress Renée Zellweger on May 9, 2005.
They met in January at a tsunami relief event but on September 15 the same year, after only four months of marriage, they announced their annulment.
Chesney was born in Knoxville and raised in Luttrell, East Tennessee - similar geographical roots to the late Chet Atkins.
But his island home away from touring inspired albums with escapist titles Poets and Pirates, Hemingway's Whiskey, When The Sun Goes Down, No Shoes, No Shirts, No Problems and Lucky Old Sun .
Kenny released 27 song album Live In No Shoes Nation on October 27, 2017.
It featured Eric Church, Mac McAnally, Taylor Swift, David Lee Murphy, Old Dominion , Grace Potter, Taylor Swift and Dave Matthews.

BROTHERS OSBORNE COUNTRY GARDEN

Maryland born Brothers Osborne illustrate what grows in their country garden with their homage to Octogenarian singing Texan actor Willie.
They perform Weed, Whiskey & Willie as their 4.20 celebration on their second album Point St Joe recorded in Florida.
Brothers T.J. Osborne, 32, and John, 35, also performed a live version of Shoot Me Straight from Port Saint Joe on Nu Country in April.
The album was named after a small Florida Coast town where they recorded the album and video.
They also appeared with Greener Pastures and 21 Summer from debut album Pawn Shop that reached #3 on Billboard.

MARGO PRICE HANDS OF TIME

Margo Price takes us on her time travel in her video for Hands Of Time from her debut album Mid-West Farmer's Daughter.
It traces her journey from her family farm in tiny Ohio town Aledo where she played piano, sang in a church choir and studied dance and theatre before moving to Nashville at 20.
Margo previously appeared on Nu Country live in the Luck chapel of love on Willie Nelson's movie town on his ranch near Austin, Texas.
Margo, 35, and guitarist husband Jeremy Ivey performed Desperate & Depressed from her debut solo album Mid-West Farmer's Daughter.
Margo and Jeremy once had good reason to feel sad - they hocked their wedding rings and cars to finance her first solo album at Sun Studios in Memphis.
She also appeared on Nu Country with Weakness - one of 12 songs she wrote for her second album All American Made, released on October 20, 2017.
Price is joined on her album by Shotgun Willie, now 85, and the McCrary Sisters.
Margo graduated from Willie's Luck chapel and played his July 4 picnics, Farm Aid and toured with him.
She started Buffalo Clover with Jeremy and released three albums and fronted Margo & The Price - Tags whose members included Sturgill Simpson and Kenny Vaughan.
"I used to write story-songs, about a couple robbing a bank or whatever," says Price whose dad worked as a prison guard after having to sell the family farm when she was two.
"But I decided I'm going to go ahead and lay it all out on the line here. And it felt really good, really therapeutic."
Price, who once spent a weekend in gaol on drink driving charges, says the late Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings are her biggest heroes.
"A lot of times, people say, 'You're so much like Loretta or Tammy Wynette,'" says Price.
"But I feel kind of like one of the men. I'm like David Allan Coe. I've been to prison, man! I think that's what separated me from the Kacey Musgraves, stuff like that. There's not a lot of glitter or girly bows and stuff."
Price also appeared on Nu Country with Hurting on the Bottle, Hands Of Time and It's Not Drink Driving If You Are Riding a Horse and was joined by mentor Emmylou Harris in recent Nashville showcases.

ALEX WILLIAMS LIVE BEHIND BARS

Indiana outlaw singer-songwriter Alex Williams return live to Behind Bars live with his trio.
Alex, now 28, performs Little Too Stoned from his debut album Better Than Myself.
Williams grew up listening to artists diverse as Shotgun Willie, Hank Williams Jr and late Texans Waylon Jennings, Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt as a student.
The Pendleton born singer previously performed Pay No Mind and honoured Townes with his live version of Steve Earle penned Fort Worth Blues.
Alex released Better Than Myself after a 2012 indie disc with Williams & Co - fellow students at Belmont University, Nashville.
Williams thanks Hank Jr for getting Willie's harmonica player Mickey Raphael into the studio for his album.
Alex was opening for Hank in Nashville and Raphael was playing the show with Chris Stapleton.

CHRIS STAPLETON GOES LOCO

Chris Stapleton rides his Midnight Train To Georgia live on a Saturday night on his Nu Country return.
Stapleton, is now 40 and alive and kicking like his singing spouse Morgane when she gave birth to their twins as they celebrated a brace of Billboard Music Awards to add to his Grammys, CMA, ACM and American Music Awards.
Midnight Train To Georgia is on Chris's huge selling third album From A Room Volume 2.
Hopefully it will be released here soon to stimulate an Australian tour and prove why he is biggest selling country artist of the last three years.
He also performed I Was Wrong live in Austin - capital of Willie's home state Texas.
Stapleton wrote many hits for a vast cast of peers during and after his career with bluegrass band The Steel Drivers.

Sydney singer-songwriter Katie Brianna tried to escape love prickles in her Nu Country return.
She was joined in bed with some of her favourite pets and pals in Thorn in Your Side from her second album Victim or Heroine.
Jeremy Dylan - son of our late benefactor Rob Potts - filmed Katie's evocative video.
Katie dropped out of school at 16 to pursue her music and lured actor Ethan Gibson to be her king for a night in her Nu County debut - also on Victim Or Heroine produced by Shane Nicholson at his Copacabana studio on the NSW Central Coast.
Katie was nominated for best new talent Golden Guitar at the 44th Australian Country Music Awards in Tamworth for the disc's first single Birmingham that she wrote on tour in the English city of the same name.
Brianna released her debut EP in 2005 and was plucked from obscurity by Paul Kelly to record vocals on Jindabyne Fair on Kelly's soundtrack to acclaimed 2006 Australian movie J indabyne .
It earned her first Golden Guitar nomination in 2007.
The murder mystery movie starred Chris Haywood, Laura Linney, Tatea Reilly, Gabriel Byrne, Deborra-Lee Furness, John Howard, Eva Lazzaro, Max Cullen and Bud Tingwell.
Brianna released debut album Dark Side of the Morning in 2013 and performed Nashville shows in 2013 and 2014.
