" Written In The Sand comes from a place that I think a lot of people can identify with,” lead singer Matt Ramsey revealed. “Is your relationship, you know, built to last or is it something that's just kinda a passing thing? And it's a hard place to be at in a relationship. I think that's why this song is gonna speak to a lot of people." BIG & RICH TIME TRAVEL WITH TEXAN TRACY LAWRENCE Big & Rich and 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold helped Tracy Lawrence celebrate the Good Ole Days when they perform live at famed Tootsie's bar on Lower Broadway in Nashville . It's not far from where robbers shot Texan Tracy four times in 1991. Lawrence , now 50, has a big iron in his hip - one of the bullets is still there. Good Ole Days - one of two new originals - is title track of his 17th album released on November 10. The 11-track record celebrates the legend's country traditionalism by pairing his hits with some country and rock contemporary superstars and newer artists. The album also features two new songs. “There's such a hunger out there for the music from my era. I hear that from so many people, so I felt like this was a good time to kind of blend the old and the new,” said Lawrence . “My first commitment was from my buddy Tim McGraw, who chose to sing Time Marches On for the new record.” Craig Morgan guests on Finally Home - one of two new tracks - an ode to U.S. military members celebrating their enduring service. It also includes guest appearances by Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Easton Corbin, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore, Kellie Pickler and Chris Young. Tracy is joined by March tourists Luke Combs and Dustin Lynch on historic hits If the World Had a Front Porch and Texas Tornado and Can't Break It To My Heart with Aldean. Lawrence is humbled by the excitement peers brought to the studio to keep each track pure as when first recorded, with only minor exceptions and added new nuances. “To realise that I'm older now and being looked at by younger kids in the same light as I looked at guys like Strait and Haggard, it's very flattering,” Lawrence confessed. “To know that I've made music that's had that kind of impact on people, well, it's pretty cool.” Lawrence also appeared in the movie L.A. Dirt filmed around Mobile , Alabama . Tracy plays Uncle Charlie to his young nephew, Ty Hargrove, portrayed by Michael Roark. He also performed his song Dirt Track Demon on the soundtrack. Watson, now 40, was raised in Amarillo in West Texas and has a Buffalo Gap ranch near birthplace Abilene. Watson mixes narratives and love songs in his down home music. His previous album Underdog was the first indie release to debut at #1 on Billboard . Watson previously appeared on Nu Country with an evocative tribute video to late rodeo champion Lane Frost who died after being high in the saddle on July 30, 1989, in Cheyenne , Wyoming . The singer honoured Frost, just 25, who died in rain, mud and blood at the rodeo after being thrown from the Brahma bull - Taking Care Of Business . He also appeared with July in Cheyenne on his 11th album Real Good Time and Raise The Bottle - a tribute to unsung war heroes including his late grandfather who returned from World War 2 in a wheel chair and walked with a cane. Asleep At The Wheel icon Ray Benson produced Watson's 2004 album The Honky Tonk Kid with cameo by Shotgun Willie Nelson. Watson released a 2006 collection of gospel songs - Barbed Wire Halo - including readings by latter day veteran Waco singer-songwriter Billy Joe Shaver. Watson's eighth album Angels & Outlaws peaked at #28 on Billboard in 2008 on the Top 200 all genre chart before he released The Road And The Rodeo in 2010 and Real Good Time in 2012. Ferrier drives a powerful message on single Waiting For The Rain as she explores pain of farmers in protracted droughts where crop and livestock income fails to cover loan payments. Waiting For The Rain is on her third album What She Knows. Ferrier also made a video for the album's fiery finale - revamped traditional Appalachian folk tune The Cuckoo. London born Alison and Geelong raised guitarist husband Jeff Lang live in Melbourne . They launched her disc last month at the Workers Bar in Fitzroy. RUBY BOOTS SHELLS SONGS Perth born former Broome pearl sheller Ruby Boots returns with some whimsy as she showcases what happens after breakfast in a new age family. There was a Zumba fitness workout, replete with dressage and choice of sexuality. Packed To The Rafters star Will Gabriel played the male lead in Don't Talk About It - second single and title track of her second album. She wrote the song with Nashville singer-songwriter Nikki Lane and launched it in Kansas City, Chicago and Austin in February. Ruby, now 36, returns here for a national tour in May. She previously appeared on Nu Country with Middle Of Nowhere - penned with Waifs singer Vikki Thorn - from her debut solo album Solitude. Ruby, now performing and writing in Nashville , has toured with Kris Kristofferson, Tony Joe White, Justin Townes Earle, Shovels and Rope , Shakey Graves, The Waifs and Nikki Lane . She is well qualified to cite different inspirations than many roots music peers. “Up until I was 21, all my life was fairly tumultuous so I didn't have the opportunity to follow that,” Ruby revealed. “I was sitting out on a pearl boat with a friend, I was working as a deckhand on a pearl boat at Montebello Island just off the coast of Exmouth, and she got me a couple of chords and the rest is history, really. “I remember hearing The Waifs album Sink or Swim on a little island off the coast of Broome where I spent most of my days chipping pearl shells, working as a deckhand in the burning sun. “I hadn't picked up a guitar at that point, and from a distance on first listen I was drawn to Vikki's voice, it played a hefty part in what inspired me to start singing and writing. Fast track to ten years later, and I find myself flying half way across the world to write with my now dear friend, an experience that has nurtured my journey since.” CLICK HERE for a Ruby feature in The Diary on April 27, 2015.
