GOLDEN GUITARISTS HEADLINE NU COUNTRY TV SERIES #25 PREMIERE
Prolific Golden Guitarist finalists Jasmine Rae and Adam Brand appear on the Series #25 premiere of Nu Country TV this Thursday December 4 at 10.30 pm on Channel 31, Digital 44.
Shipwreck Coast born singer-songwriter Damian Howard also returns to the show repeated Monday 5.30 and 2.30 pm and Thursday at 5.30 am.
Host Mid Pacific Bob Olson features a brand new recipe - chili beans - from his Beer Can Hill delta kitchen in Northcote in Behind Bars and Barbecues.
Olson also reveals an anecdote about Oregon born Todd Snider who appeared in Bob's hometown Santa Rosa during his return home for a 50 year school reunion in spring.
East Nashville resident Todd also performs in a humorous video for one of his classics in the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham after his wedding in Tokyo .
Texans Lee Ann Womack and Stony LaRue also showcase their latest video clips.

JASMINE AND ADAM - BRAND NEW VIDEO

Fawkner singer-songwriter Jasmine Rae and Colac and Wallington raised Adam Brand perform a delicious duet on Quit This Time from Adam's 12th album My Side Of The Street.
The duo, Golden Guitars finalists in six sections at the CMAA Awards in Tamworth in January, exude harmonic bliss in their pathos primed delivery of the video and song.
Thrice wed Brand, born in Perth , spent much of his adolescence in Rae's home state.
Adam also operates Brandy's restaurants in Townsville and Coffs Harbour when not on the road.
Both Adam and Jasmine have recorded and written songs in Nashville on their frequent Music City sojourns.

DAMIAN HOWARD AQUATIC DAYS ON LONG ISLAND

Damian Howard was raised with his musical siblings in an historic cottage adjacent to the Nestles factory on the banks of the mighty Merri River at Dennington - a satellite suburb of Warrnambool on the Shipwreck Coast on Victoria . But he chose a different aquatic locale for his video for Days Like This on the water and patio on Long Island in Far North Queensland. Damian and his bands including the Plough Boys have long hoed their own music row like siblings Shane and Marcia. The three Howard clan members reunite on Saturday at the famed Eureka festival in Ballarat. Days Like This is on Damian's third solo album Once In A While. |
It features 15 tracks - 10 newly written songs and a couple of takes on older songs.
Damian recorded the album with his bush bred Band of Brothers - James Rust, Lee Sonnyboy Morgan, Declan O'Neill and Jon Emry.
Guests on the disc included siblings Shane and Marcia, Rose Bygrave, Richard Tankard, Peter Denahy, Anthony O'Neill, Kathy Mikkelsen, Ed Bates, Peter Fidler and Bob Phillipse.
Howard also features on the new all-star drought relief Aussie Helpers album Send It Down Hughie 2 .

LEE ANN WOMACK MEETS THE DEVIL

Lone Star State chanteuse Lee Ann Womack meets the devil in her video for The Way I'm Living - title track of her eighth album released this year on roots label Sugar Hill . Womack tried to defy sin, drinking and Satan in her welcome return to recording and performing her first disc since seventh album Call Me Crazy in 2008. The 48 year old Grammy winning mother found heaven when she wed her producer Frank Liddell She played a sheriff in a small East Texas town in the movie Noble Things. The daughter of a small town Texan DJ won a Grammy with Willie Nelson for their 2002 duet, Mendocino County Line. |
In October 2010 during her recording hiatus Womack sang Liars Lie on the soundtrack of Tim McGraw-Gwyneth Paltrow.
She also cut a duet with fellow Texan George Strait on Everything But Quits and his hit version of Jim Lauderdale song King of Broken Hearts that appeared on the Pure Country soundtrack.
Other vocal highlights included her appearance with Strait and Georgian superstar Alan Jackson on Murder On Music Row.
The six time CMA Award winner's new album features songs by Chris Knight, Mindy Smith, Buddy Miller, Mando Saenz, Hayes Carll, Neil Young, Bruce Robison and late Roger Miller.
Womack chose roots covers including Carll's tune Chances Are that we featured on Nu Country TV.
It's a far cry from her arrival at Belmont University in Nashville where she met and wed singer-songwriter Jason Sellers in 1990.
They divorced in 1996 five years after they had a daughter Aubrie Lee.
Womack gave birth to second daughter, Annalise Liddell, in January 1999 after marrying Liddell.

STONEY LARUE AVIATOR

Stoney Larue debuts on Nu Country with his video for Aviator - title track of his fifth album, produced by Liddell.
Frank also produces Texan Miranda Lambert who featured Stoney's vocals on her 2013 hit All Kinds Of Kinds .
Larue evokes childhood baseball, cycling and card swapping memories on a front porch in his new video.
Stoney, born Stoney Larue Phillips, is a Texas Red Dirt artist.
"I was named after my grandfather on my mother's side, the singer, now 37, revealed.
His middle name was LaRue. And Stoney came from a TV show, this Stoney Burke character, who used to be a cowboy on TV. My father was flipping through the TV Guide , and they were like, Stoney LaRue! That sounds good.' What are you smoking?! I've gotten so many nicknames and questions about my name. But it's made me who I am, for sure. You have to definitely wear the monkey suit."
Stoney was born in Taft , Texas , raised in Southeastern Oklahoma and moved to college town Stillwater where he played bars with his brother, Bo Phillips.
He befriended Jason Boland and Cody Canada and moved into Yellow House for late night jam sessions with musicians diverse as Mike McClure and Brandon Jenkins.
In 2002 LaRue led The Organic Boogie Band and released Downtown , recorded in private sessions at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa .
His 2005 follow-up, The Red Dirt Album , reached Billboard sales charts in its debut week and was followed by Live at Billy Bob's Texas .

TODD SNIDER LOOKING FOR A JOB

Oregonian born, latter day Nashville resident Todd Snider showcases a novel way of supermarket shopping on his video for Looking For A Job .
Snider, 48, originally recorded the song on his 2006 album The Devil You Know .
Snider lived in Portland , Oregon , until his family moved to Houston .
When he was 15 he ran away from home with a friend and went back to Portland .
After high school he moved to host Bob Olson's hometown Santa Rosa , California , to be a harmonica player.
Then his brother, who lived in Austin , Texas , bought him a ticket to move there.
After seeing Jerry Jeff Walker in a local bar, Snider decided that he didn't need a band to be a musician.
He broke with Talking Seattle Grunge Rock Blues in 1994 and has since has recorded 16 albums and DVDS.
