JOHN ANDERSON SWINGS AND RAPS WITH COLT FORD ON NU COUNTRY TV
Florida born stone country singer John Anderson and country rapper Colt Ford combined on a classic hit to headline Nu Country TV this Thursday November 20 at 10.30 pm on Channel 31, Digital 44.
Gippsland born and Canada raised Gord Bamford also returns with a social comment tune for the show repeated Monday 5.30 am and Thursday 2.30 am.
Former Qantas accountant Amber Lawrence also returns to the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Wisconsin singer-songwriter Josh Thompson performs his tribute to the late Waylon Jennings who is joined in Behind Bars by his octogenarian duet partner Willie Nelson at an historic Farm Aid festival.
And Georgian Kip Moore showcases his new video.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of the C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

COUNTRY RAP REVIVED

John Anderson and little rapper mate Colt Ford frock up John's 1983 hit Swingin one the eve of his 60th birthday and 20th album next month.
Swingin is on the Super Zeroes movie soundtrack.
The duo revive the classic with porch swings, flying portaloos, damsels chopping wood and other delicacies of the country-rap nuptials.
Anderson was beaten into country rap by fellow Floridians and recent Australian tourists The Bellamy Brothers but shares their longevity.
His duet with Ford, now 44 and born Jason Farris Brown, in Athens, Georgia, is the latest of many collaborations with diverse artists in his 37 year recording career.
Anderson worked with John Rich of Big & Rich on his 2007 album Easy Money and co-wrote Rich's 2009 single Shuttin' Detroit Down.
He is also an honorary member of Rich's MuzikMafia.
Anderson lives in Smithville, Tennessee - his home for more than 30 years.
His previous studio album was James Stroud produced Bigger Hands in 2009.
Anderson also joined Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard in the video for Willie's Guitar and collaborated with Waylon on their 1988 single Somewhere Between Ragged And Right .
Former pro golfer Ford started indie label Average Joe's Entertainment in 2008 and released his fifth studio album, Thanks for Listening on July 1, 2014.

GORD BAMFORD FARMING LAMENT

Gord Bamford returns with his evocative video for social comment tune Where A Farm Used To Be from sixth album Country Junkie . The singer illustrates his video with flashbacks to record shops selling vinyl and farmland before the invasion of Walmart onto once verdant pastures. Gord, now 38, left Traralgon in Gippsland at the age of five with his singer mum Marilyn for the high country of Alberta in Canada. |
He returned in August to perform at the famed Gympie Muster.
Gord released his 2001 debut album, God's Green Earth , on his GWB Records before heading to Nashville in 2003 to write with Steve Fox, Tim Taylor and Byron Hill who co-produced his second album Life Is Good.
He wrote 10 of 11 songs - six singles included top 20 hits My Heart's a Genius, All About Her, Life Is Good and I Would for You - and opened shows for Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Don Williams and Terri Clark.
His third album Honkytonks and Heartaches produced by Byron Hill, was released on September 25, 2007 - first single, Blame It On That Red Dress , was Gord's first top 10 Canadian hit.
Gord's fourth album, Day Job , was released in April 2010, with four singles - Day Job, Put Some Alcohol On It, My Daughter's Father and Hank Williams Lonesome .
Fifth album Is It Friday Yet ? in 2012 had five singles - Is It Friday Yet?, Leaning on a Lonesome Song, Disappearing Tail Lights, Farm Girl Strong and Must Be a Woman .
Bamford's sixth album, Country Junkie , was released in October 2013 and his first Christmas album, Christmas in Canada , in November 2013.

JOSH THOMPSON BLAMES IT ON WAYLON

Wisconsin singer Josh Thompson returns to Behind Bars with Blame It On Waylon from his 2010 debut album Way Out Here . Josh, now 36, wrote all 10 tracks on the album produced by Michael Knox - he blames the late Texan born outlaw for his wild lifestyle and raunchy music. Beer on the Table peaked at #17 and was followed by the title track and two more singles Won't Be Lonely Long and Blame It on Waylon that also featured video clips. Thompson has released two singles Wanted Me Gone and Cold Beer With Your Name On It from his third album Turn it Up on Show Dog-Universal. Thompson wrote nine of the 10 songs on the album including Ben's Place, Firebird, You Wanted Me Gone, Hank Cranking People and Hillbilly Limo. His second album Change was never released. |

Their son Trey is a prolific songwriter and producer in Nashville and written songs for diverse Australian artists including Kirsty Lee Akers, Sara Storer, Diana Corcoran and The McClymonts.

AMBER LAWRENCE SALUTES HER OWN SUPERHERO

Amber Lawrence, 36, has found a new way to fly long after a stint as an accountant at Qantas in Mascot. She performs the video for Superhero - the title track of her fourth album released in September. Amber recorded the album in Nashville with Sydney producer Matt Fell and leading Music Row session musicians with guest cameos by Sam Hawksley and Glenn Hannah. She also trimmed 23 songs penned in Nashville back to 13 for the disc she is promoting on a national tour. |
KIP MOORE ON THE CASE

Georgian Kip Moore honours working women and men who chance their lives every day in the video for On The Case from his second album.
On The Case depicts the challenging life of construction workers and was released in August.
“These folks come out to my shows after working long shifts, 50-60 hour weeks, and I never forget that,” says Moore.
“They take extreme pride in the work they do. It inspires me to put on the best show I can every night, and I wanted to thank them and honor their work and commitment with something they can relate to. The lyrics for On the Case were written to do that.”
He illustrated memories of his childhood in a small Georgian town in his previous video for Dirt Road .
Kip knows all about hellfire and brimstone - he sang at 13 in the Tifton Baptist church where his mum was the organist.
On The Case follows Dirt Road and Young Love as singles from his second album - sequel to 2012 debut disc Up All Night , best-selling debut disc by a male for 2012-2013.
Moore, now 34 and one of six children, was an avid surfer before choosing a music career - he wrote tunes for fellow young guns Thompson Square and James Wesley.
The singer also performs Lead Me on the soundtrack of new movie The Best Of Me , starring Michelle Monaghan and James Marsden, on October 17.
