ARIA Award winning singer-songwriter Shane Nicholson and March tourists Florida Georgia Line headline Nu Country TV this Saturday December 26 at 9.30 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44.
Fellow Florida bluegrass family combo Trinity River Band and Appalachian born singer Cindy G perform Behind Bars on the show repeated Monday 2.30 pm, Wednesday 7.30 am and Thursday 3 am.
Texan Jon Wolfe also returns to the program hosted by Mid Pacific Bob Olson and filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Fellow Austin cosmic cowboys Lonesome Heroes also debut after their low key Australian tour earlier this year.

WHEN THE MONEY'S ALL GONE

Former Queenslander Shane Nicholson showcases his vitriolic video for When The Money's All Gone from his ARIA award winning sixth solo studio album Hell Breaks Loose.
Nicholson illustrated the sentiments of his song by riding his motor bike to the filming session.
The album is also likely to win more Golden Guitars in Tamworth next month for the singer who shared awards with former singing spouse Kasey Chambers.
Shane, 39, launched his album at The Caravan Club in Oakleigh on August 8.
Nicholson's nine albums include a live disc and two with Chambers during their marriage from 2008-2013 that also produced a son and daughter.
Shane has also produced music for Angie Hart, Catherine Britt, Beccy Cole, Alex Lloyd, Suze DeMarchi, Jenny Queen, Sarah Humphreys, Nikki Jensen, Lyn Bowtell, Josh Rennie-Hynes, Lou Bradley, Jodi Martin, Allison Forbes and Quarry Mountain Dead Rats .

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE PLOUGH BIBLICAL DIRT

Florida born Brian Kelley and Georgian Tyler Hubbard formed chart topping duo Florida Georgia Line in 2010 after meeting at a Nashville university worship group in 2008.
The duo debuts on Nu Country with its video for biblical parable Dirt from 2014 second album Anything Goes.
They illustrate how a farming family with five children deal with drought before a fatal baseball accident returns the young matriarch to the dirt, replete with a rose.
The duo headlined its Anything Goes tour, joined Luke Bryan on his Kick the Dust Up odyssey and debut here at Margaret Court Arena Tuesday March 8 with fellow Georgian Jason Aldean before a Sydney concert and CMC Rocks Queensland at Ipswich March 11-13.
Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida, and star pitcher on his high school baseball team, won a Florida State University scholarship and transferred to Belmont University.
He began writing music inspired by Christian rock group Casting Crowns .
Hubbard, a native of Monroe, Georgia, was a church worship leader who formed hip hop group, Ingenious Circuit in his teens.
Although Hubbard and Kelley had natural affinity for performing, they got their start not by playing in bars or clubs but as joint worship leaders, while attending college.
“That's basically how we learned how to play guitar and connect with a crowd, at church,” Hubbard revealed.
“We used to lead worship for a little youth group outside of Nashville. It was great. It was a little side money at the time, which we really needed, but it was also time for us to get away from the house for a little bit and lead worship. It was something for us that was very rewarding on a lot of different levels.”
They're now performing in front of crowds of thousands - and singing lines like, “and all I wanna do is lace my Js and lay some Jack in my Coke,” and, “girl, you melt me like ice and whiskey” - but the duo are not far, spiritually and personally speaking, from their days as worship leaders.
“I think our faith comes through in a lot of different ways, if not directly in our music,” confessed Hubbard whose crew says a group prayer before each performance.
“But it's really starting to, as well, come out in our writing and our music. The biggest thing for BK and myself is, we've always taken pride in being transparent and being who we are, and letting our fans in on our lives. I think that's one reason they connect so well to our music and who we are.
“We like to have a good time. We like to throw a party. We like to, on Friday and Saturday nights, see how many people we can get together and see how many people can forget their worries and just have a great time. We get a lot of joy out of that,” he continues. “But also, putting the Man first and making sure our priorities are straight, making sure our fans know where our hearts are at and where our blessings do come from.”
Hubbard and Kelley are working on a third album to follow Anything Goes .
“We've been writing quite a bit,” Hubbard reveals.
“We've got a ton of songs we can't wait for people to hear. We just got back into the studio with Joey Moi, our producer, and are starting to bring those songs to life. It's a fun process for us.”
Although Hubbard and Kelly are prolific songwriters, they won't insist on writing their entire album.
“We've written most of them. But we're never opposed to outside songs,” Hubbard says.
“We're always listening to songs. We always say, ‘Better is better.' If a song comes in that we didn't write, but we feel like we would have wrote it, we'll cut it. We've fallen in love and singled songs that we haven't written several times. We try not to put ourselves in any kind of box and say, ‘We have to write the whole album,' but we definitely write the majority of it.”

Fellow Florida family quintet Trinity River Band perform their live video for assertive tune You Can't Walk All Over Me - title track of its sixth album. Singer Sarah Harris and bassist sister Lisa featured in a turkey hunt in Kentucky on a recent episode of TV show Bloodlines in the Bluegrass Babes episode. The family band hails from Callahan, Florida, and began playing local churches in early 2008 before full-time touring in 2011. |
Members are Mike Harris (Guitar, Lead & Harmony Vocals); Lisa Harris (Bass, Harmony Vocals); Josh Harris (Banjo, Dobro, Harmony Vocals); Brianna Harris (Fiddle, Lead and Harmony Vocals); lead singer-mandolinist, Sarah - a two-time IBMA Momentum Award Nominee in the Vocalist of the Year Category.
The band also appeared on Dugger Mountain Show on Heartland TV Network and Daytime nationally syndicated morning show.
The band released ninth studio album - gospel disc Jump Off The Ship in June.

CINDY G BLUEGRASS JAIL BREAK

Appalachian born bluegrass belle Cindy G escapes from prison in her video for Jail Break - title track of her second album produced by Grammy winner Jim VanCleve in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The cops couldn't find her but her band did. The only clues were a plectrum and a vocal echo from bluegrass queen Rhonda Vincent. Cindy was raised high in the Appalachia Mountains of south west Pennsylvania. Jail Break features VanCleve, guest vocalist Vincent, Sam Bush, Scott Vestal, Rob Ickes, Bryan Sutton, Aaron Ramsey, Seth Taylor and Todd Phillips. Cindy's song-writing inspiration comes from real life experiences and true stories, recalling local legends and folklore from her home state and travels. |
She conjures up lyrics and emotions to tell imaginative tales.
The new album includes Sounds of War from a Lee County Virginia Civil War story, Wilds of Wise County from a Wise County Virginia ghost story and Hexie about the Witch of the Hills from Somerset County Pennsylvania.
She also performs Living Picture (The Story of the Mather Mine ) from Greene County Pennsylvania and Waiting For the Train about a New York City subway train.
On Living Picture Cindy imagines what one miner's thoughts might have been the day he never returned home to his wife and unborn child after a real life, 1928 PA mining-disaster.
Her previous video 444 Chicken Bone Road was on her 2012 debut CD The Road.
Cindy has appeared on Heartland TV's Bluegrass Ridge and The Family Channel's Cheyenne Country TV.

JON WOLFE A NATURAL MAN

Tulsa troubadour Jon Wolfe gave up a career as a British Petroleum commodities trader in Chicago for music in 2003.
That was after sharing a house with Texan singer-songwriter Hayes Carll in Houston.
“I was rooming with Hayes Carll for a while and I definitely had the bug to sing and try to write songs," Wolfe revealed.
He graduated to country as a teenager when his stepfather played bass in the house band at Oklahoma's Grand Lake Opry.
Also in the house band was a friend from a nearby rival high school - Joe Don Rooney, now a member of Rascal Flatts.
Wolfe lives in Austin - same city former roommate Carll now calls home.
He shot his video for Don't It Feel Good on the shore of Corpus Christi bay in south Texas and a local ice house.

LONESOME HEROES IN WESTERN STYLE SALOONS

Fellow Austin cosmic cowboys The Lonesome Heroes take us inside Western Style Saloons in their latest video.
The band made its bed in a pick-up truck and also showcased multiple uses for a back yard pool Esky and the cans within.
Western Style Saloons is on their fourth album Can't Stand Still.
They also appeared in musical TV drama Nashville and played the Dashville festival on their Australian tour in October.
Their music is described as "Western Americana, a cross-pollination of rock, folk, and country with psych and indie pop - influences from Texas and Brooklyn backgrounds. It's the soundscape that occurs when indie rock and country artfully cross paths."
Can't Stand Still was self-released in January 2015 and re-released on vinyl in February by What Bang Records , and recorded entirely in Austin at Z Sound Recording and at Jim Eno's Public Hi-Fi.
The Lonesome Heroes played more than 1000 shows in 28 states before touring Australia in October.
