STEVE MARTIN AND EDIE BRICKELL - NOT THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE

Texan Steve Martin give some humorous advice about a live DVD he recorded with Edie Brickell and their band Steep Canyon Rangers.

Edie, long time wife of Paul Simon and New Bohemians singer joins the rangers for their 2014 Grammy winning song Love Has Come For You - also on the DVD.

They also performed humorous murder mystery ballad Pretty Little One and Atheists Don't Have No Songs on our previous shows.

BLAKE SHELTON SEARCHES FOR SUNSHINE

Blake Shelton returned to his hometown Ada in Oklahoma for some footage for his video of Gonna from his ninth album Bringing Back The Sunshine.

There has been little sunshine for Blake, now 39, since his divorce from Miranda Lambert, 31, on July 25.

It was the second divorce for Blake who was discovered by Heartbreak Hotel writer Mae Boren Axton - also mother of late singing actor Hoyt Axton.

Shelton wed long-time girlfriend Kaynette Gern on November 17, 2003 - they divorced in 2006.

In 2005 Blake met Miranda who sang background vocals on his cover of Michael Bublé song Home - a #1 hit for him.

On May 9, 2010, after dating for four years Shelton proposed to Miranda after seeking and receiving her former undercover narcotics agent and guitarist father's Rick's blessing.

The couple were married on May 14, 2011, in Boerne , Texas , and moved to his ranch at Tishomingo in Oklahoma.

On January 17, 2012, Shelton 's father, Dick, 71, died in Oklahoma and brother, Richie, died in 1990 in a car crash when Blake was just 14.

Blake and Lambert wrote about Richie in Miranda's tune Over You - CMA Song of the Year for 2012.

Trisha, now 51, first toured here in 1998 with second singing spouse - bassist Robert Reynolds who was recently fired from Floridian band The Mavericks.

They wed on May 21, 1994, but divorced in 1999.

Trisha has acted in TV shows including Jag and Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman and hosts Trisha's Southern Kitchen on the U.S. Food Network and writes cook books.

Host Mid Pacific Bob Olson has passed on trying out one of Trisha recipes she designed for her husband Garth

Garth's Breakfast Bowl includes eight large eggs, a pound each of bacon & sausage, cheese tortellini, cheddar cheese, tater tots and a Bowl Of Butter.

It's not clear what Trish cooked up with first husband - musician Chris Latham.

They wed in 1987 and divorced in 1991.

In 2000 after Brooks filed for divorce from estranged wife Sandy Mahl he began dating Trisha who took a four-year hiatus from music.

On May 25, 2005, Garth proposed to Trisha in front of 7,000 fans in Bakersfield , California , and on December 10, 2005, they were married in a private ceremony at the couple's home in Owasso , Oklahoma .

MITCHELL TENPENNY - BLACK CROW IN SONG – NOT SUPPER

Tennessean Mitchell Tenpenny returns with his video for Black Crow - title track of his debut CD.

Mitchell, just 25, previously appeared on our show with bluegrass band the Steeldrivers in his video for Cane's Creek.

Nashville born Mitchell - grandson of famed Sony Music publisher Donna Hilley - and multi-award winning guitarist and former Steeldrivers singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton are enjoying solo careers.

Tenpenny is a fan of the group who enlisted Jason Isbell to produce two songs on their new album.

"I have so much respect for every musician in that band and I love their song-writing as well," Tenpenny said. "When I heard they were going to play on Cane's Creek, I was nervous honestly, because I think they are so amazing. I'm not worthy but I am grateful.

“That was really cool on how that came to be. I remember when I wrote that song and when I played it for the producer, he thought it'd be a great bluegrass song.

“And I thought, who could we get to play on it and he mentioned Tammy Rogers, who plays fiddle, to play on it and I loved that idea because I've been a fan of that band for a long time, from Chris Stapleton to Gary Nichols.”

ADAM ECKERSLEY WHEELS

Adam Eckersley and his band showcase their video for Wheels from his new release - aptly titled The Second Album.

Wheels was inspired by laundry etiquette for singing spouse Brooke McClymont.

“One night before having my shower, I chucked my clothes on the floor but then had a second thought and picked up my clothes and threw them in the basket to save Brooke going crook on me,” Adam, now 31, revealed on the eve of the album release on August 28 on Lost Highway Records .

“There's a system I try my best to live within even though part of me always wants to go against it. I jumped in the shower and started singing, "I'll live in the system the best that I can, try to fit in the mould but still be a man". I then got out of the shower and had to make the decision, to either finish the song while it was flowing, or go to bed. Brooke then went up to the back shed and got the guitar and wrote the other verses and a chorus.”

Adam's band will promote its album at the Hallam Hotel - gateway to or exit from Gippsland - on Thursday September 24.

The father of two first toured Victoria as guitarist with The McClymonts before his band shared billing with them on their Here's To You & I album tour.

That was after an extended break while Adam recuperated from a spinal operation – the six week hiatus was his longest period between shows since he started touring at 17.

Adam's band also toured the U.S. with The McClymonts in 2011.

They toured here with The Mavericks , Californian surfing cowboy Gary Allan and Blackjack Billy and played CMC Rocks North Queensland in Townsville in 2014.
