URBAN KEITH'S BEACHSIDE BLISS HEADLINES NU COUNTRY TV
Expatriate Australasian superstar Keith Urban headlines Nu Country TV this Saturday July 25 at 10. 30 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44.
Urban is joined by Texan troubadour James McMurtry on his travelogue on the show repeated Monday 5.30 am and 2.30 pm, Wednesday 7.30 am and Thursday 3 a.m.
Kentucky duo Montgomery Gentry and Oklahoma hombres Chance Anderson Band continue the rural theme in their videos on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Urban's new song's writer Brandy Clark returns with a song she performed on The Grammys with Kentuckian singing actor Dwight Yoakam and Texan Jamie Lynn Wilson performs an acoustic gem in Behind Bars.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

URBAN BEACHES AND WAREHOUSES

Caboolture colt Keith Urban still lures female fans on distant beaches and warehouses in his colourful video clips. This week he is joined a bevy of beauties in Come Back To Me - his sixth single from ninth album Fuse . Urban, 47 and father of two, took time out from paternal duties to host Seven Network breakfast show Sunrise on his recent return to Sydney. Keith's video shows him in a warehouse singing while images flash on large screens on a song written by Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally and Trevor Rosen. His recent #1 singles Raise Em Up with 42 nd Willie Nelson July 4 picnic artist Eric Church. “I'm sort of doing the preliminary work of figuring out what the next record is,” Urban says of his 10th album. |
“It's reaching out and talking with people about working with them in the studio, different writers. It's just lots of ideas and tinkering right now.”
He has since released John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16 from his new album - first in two years since Fuse .
The up-tempo track was co-produced by Dann Huff and Urban
Urban just finished serving as a judge on this season of American Idol and returns for the show's final season next year.

Texan troubadour James McMurtry searches for love on a Texas road and bar odyssey with trains and barmaids in his video clip for How Am I Gonna Find You Now from his 12 th album Complicated Game. At 52 he sings about washing down his blood pressure pills with a red bull - what else? James also sang with Dwight Yoakam in the Buzzin' Cousins on the soundtrack of the John Mellencamp movie Falling From Grace - based on one of the many best-selling books by his famous father Larry McMurtry. MONTGOMERY GENTRY ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Montgomery Gentry returned to their rural roots after a 26 year career to showcase hometown churches, tractors and water towers in their video for My Town from eighth album Folks Like Us.
It's the Kentucky duo's first album since Rebels On The Run in 2011.
Eddie Montgomery, brother of fellow country star John Michael Montgomery, may have to choose a new town - not Perryville, Kentucky that was featured in their clip.
Eddie, now 51, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010 and recovered a month later but was served divorce papers by former wife Tracy at his Montgomery's Steakhouse restaurant that he owned in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
It closed abruptly in 2013.
The couple had four children and had been married for over 20 years.
Partner Troy Gentry, now 48, also had bad luck in 2004 when he bought a black bear from Minnesota Wildlife Connectio n and shot it from inside an electrified enclosure, commonly known as a "canned hunting.”
On November 27, 2006, Gentry pleaded guilty to falsely tagging a bear that was killed in a fenced enclosure as if it had been killed in the wild.
He was fined $15,000 and ordered give up hunting, fishing and trapping in Minnesota for five years.
He forfeited the stuffed bear and his bow
That's one of the reasons why Troy and Eddie are back on the road again to promote their joyous music
Luckily, Bob Dylan left Minnesota 50 years ago and is unlikely to be mistaken for a bear on the run.

ANDERSON BAND CHANCE TWO RED LIGHTS

Oklahoma based Chance Anderson Band escape a tiny two red lights town to head to Texas in their latest video clip.
They hail from Empire in Oklahoma and Two Red Lights is on their EP That Kind Of Life, released on May 19.
The video captures Chance and his band travelling from town to town, bar to bar, venue to venue, while paying homage to the places they've been.
As the video plays Anderson writes in a journal and the words are scrawled across the video screen - some of them are lyrics to the song, while others are memories of the tour's stops.
From “Dallas, Texas, I'm here to win/ whatever it takes” to “three months into tour. I'm exhausted!”
Anderson shows fans, through his own writing and visuals, a true glimpse at life in a country band.
It's not all fun and games - road life involves grit, sweat and a whole lot of elbow grease - but touring also includes drinking beer, lots of performances and time in the studio.
The video also includes Anderson getting a haircut - not just any haircut but full makeover. His beard is shaved, too, giving him a completely different and younger appearance.
The band has opened for Dierks Bentley, Eli Young Band, Wade Bowen, Colt Ford and others.

BRANDY CLARK NIPS BACK TO THE GRAMMYS

Dual Grammy nominee Brandy Clark performs an acoustic version of Hold My Hand that she showcased on the recent Grammys with Dwight Yoakam. Here she performs it live at Blackbird Studio in Nashville Washington-state born Brandy gave sound romantic advice in her love song from second solo album 12 Stories . Clark, now 37, has lived in Nashville for 16 years and co-wrote Miranda Lambert's #1 hit Mama's Broken Heart and Band Perry chart-topper Better Dig Two. |
She landed songs on albums by artists diverse as Gretchen Wilson, Ashton Shepherd, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban and Darius Rucker.
Clark was nominated for two 2014 Country Music Association Awards for New Artist and Song of the Year for Musgraves hit Follow Your Arrow .
Brandy was reared in Morton, Washington - a logging town of only 900 people in shadows of Mount St. Helens.
Her indie album features Vince Gill on background vocals and debuted at #28 on Billboard .
Clark made her network CBS network TV debut with Stripes on David Letterman's late lamented TV show on January 6.
Clark opened for Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles on her 2014 tour and wrote satiric Songs About Trucks for Waco country singer Wade Bowen.
