Tamworth
born singer-songwriter Felicity Urquhart returns to Nu Country TV as host
this Saturday August 1 on C 31 - at 9. 30 pm.
The singer features video clips by fellow Nu Country hosts Troy Cassar-Daley
and Melinda Schneider on the show, repeated on Wednesday at 3.30 pm.
Prolific Australian songwriters Lianna Rose and Paul Kelly also guest

Crowell and Kim Richey.
Hotshot Nashville guitarist Brad Paisley also performs in the video for
his huge recent hit Letter To Me.
TWO

CD Landing Lights.
She wrote with Ohio born tourist Kim Richey, Alison Krauss's hit writer
Robert Lee Castleman, Randy Scruggs, Mark Selby, expatriate Australian

MELINDA
SCHNEIDER PAUL KELLY DUET
|
Fellow
country star Melinda Schneider also enlists a rock singer - Paul Kelly
- for cross fertilisation.
The couple performs a duet on Still Here from her fifth album,
Be Yourself.
Schneider recruited Kelly after finding him on a rock pool when she
was snorkelling at Coogee Beach on the south side of Sydney.
Melinda, now 35, recently returned from a U.S. sojourn and launched
family musical Schneiderville in Adelaide.
The singer hooked up with stone country singer Elizabeth Cook on her
trip.
Their song Sometimes It Takes Balls To Be A Woman was a highlight
of Schneider's previous album Stronger that included two other collaborations
with Cook. |
That song
- also title track of Cook's fourth album - made the finals of the prestige
2007 Americana Awards in Nashville.
"That was a big thrill to be in the same awards category as Lucinda
Williams and Patty Griffin," Schneider conceded.
Cook, singing spouse of Nashville singer Tim Carroll, joined the cast
of Conway Twitty, The Man, The Music, The Legend, The Musical.
Elizabeth
portrayed one of the latest country star's daughters - Joni.

BRAD PAISLEY - HITS AND LETTERS
|
West
Virginia born singer-songwriter Brad Paisley topped Billboard charts
on debut with sixth album American Saturday Night.
The disc racked up first-week sales of nearly 130,000 copies - a major
feat in this depressed market.
Paisley, 36 and a hotshot guitarist, performs the video for Letter
to Me from previous album Play on this week's show.
"These are nowhere near the best years of your life," he
sings in his video.
He appreciates his past without regarding it as the golden age.
Brad's sold more than 10 million albums and scored 14 No. 1 singles,
including most recent hit Then which spent three weeks at the summit. |

Rose has been a prolific writer since hooking up with artists diverse
as Adam Brand and 2008 Tamworth Starmaker winner Talia Wittman.
She released her debut solo album Soak Up The World last year
long after leaving Yass to live on the NSW Central coast.
Ironically two episodes of Seven Network TV soapie Home & Away
featured tracks from her album.
Brand, recently signed to major Nashville label Sony, is also on Seven
reality show Dancing With The Stars.
Lianna performs the video clip for Jack (New Strings) on Nu
Country TV on Saturday.
Rose penned all 13 songs including exploring the spoils of a marital
split in I Want My Tractor Back.
In her song guitarist Bill returns home from a gig to find Mary -
"her legs were hairy" - and his tractor gone. |
Six months
later, successful litigant Mary shakes her lawyer's hand on the court
steps before the punch line.
"You
could hear Bill laughing cause away he ran/ with the tractor, he went
and stole it."
