Jerry Lee broke his ribs on one of his Australian tours when he fell in a hotel bath but is one of the true survivors of the genre.

It led to a contract with Atlantic Records Nashville and two CDs - Break in the Storm and The Revolutions.

It was on Atlantic during the tenure by expatriate Australasian Barry Coburn - original manager of superstar Alan Jackson and latter day publisher of fellow expat star Keith Urban.

Great Divide was formed in Stillwater - the college font for superstar Garth Brooks and Jimmy LaFave - when McClure and peers were at Oklahoma State University.

OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

Former Nashville buskers Old Crow Medicine Show return with the video of their song Tell It To Me from their self-titled 2004 album that sold 100,000 copies.

The quintet, tipped to tour Australia this year, has won a wide following with its five albums - the latest is David Rawlings produced Big Iron World (2006).

This clip has it roots in the acoustic band's live performances - just like the clips for Down Home Girl and Woody Guthrie song Union Made.

Directed by rock photographer Danny Clinch, the band cut the clips in a New York minute on the mean streets of Manhattan.

Old Crow Medicine Show may hold the record for the fastest music video shoot of the year - about an hour of playing music on a busy New York City street corner.

The band was formed in upstate New York was discovered by Doc Watson's daughter Nancy.

It busked across the border in Canada and became known for its eclectic country folk and bluegrass hybrid.

Old Crow Medicine Show is a regular guest on Prairie Home Companion - Garrison Keilor hosted radio show eulogised in the final movie by late Robert Altman, famed for his Nashville movie.
