        KERNAGHAN HOSTS NU COUNTRY TV RETURN

          Australian 
            country music king Lee Kernaghan hosts the premiere of Series #6 of 
            Nu Country TV on C 31 at 8.30 p m on Saturday July 8. 
             
            Lee, 42, and father of two, talks frankly about his career and his 
            huge selling eighth album The New Bush. 
             
            The singer's 20 years as a roads scholar from coast to coast and the 
            great outback paid off when The New Bush debuted at #6 on ARIA 
            pop charts despite minimal exposure on commercial corporate radio 
            chains. 
             
            Kernaghan promotes his disc through national ABC and commercial TV, 
            print media and community radio, PAY-TV channel CMC, and Nu Country 
            TV. | 
         
       
      And, of course, 
        his marathon national Outback To Beaches tour with sister Tania and The 
        McClymonts that includes the Adelaide Muster on Saturday July 29. 
         
        The album also features Georgian born country star Trisha Yearwood - second 
        wife of Oklahoma superstar Garth Brooks. 
         
        And Lee's producer Garth Porter hired fellow Sherbet member and solo singer 
        Daryl Braithwaite to sing on the title track of the disc. 
         
        And Kernaghan also reveals why wife Robbie - the CD photographer - also 
        added her vocals to the song Little Men about their two sons.  
         
        We also feature Lee's hot new video clip of The New Bush, filmed 
        in the NSW city of Grenfell.  
        Kernaghan also announces major contests for viewers on this week's show. 
         
        They include autographed copies of The New Bush, concert tickets

              Australasian superstar Keith Urban is also a highlight of this week's 
              show.  
               
              Urban, 38, performs the video clip of his hit single Tonight 
              I Wanna Cry that was not penned about his fiancée and 
              Oscar winner Nicole Kidman. 
               
              The clip is from duel Grammy and CMA award victor Urban's fifth 
              album Be Here that has now sold three million plus copies. 
               
               
              Lee talks about he joined his mate Urban on stage at his famed Great 
              Western Hotel in central Queensland on Keith's triumphant home tour 
              in 2005. 
            Urban 
              is now working on his sixth disc that will appear after his planned 
              movie debut in 2007.

            who didn't grace the Great Western on his 2005 Australian tour. 
             
            He introduces Kristofferson, who celebrated his 70th birthday on June 
            22, in the video for the title track of his latest studio album This 
            Old Road. 
             
            Fellow singing actor Russell Crowe also performs on the Kristofferson 
            tribute disc The Pilgrim - The Songs Of Kris Kristofferson - 
            that was released to celebrate the star's birthday. | 
         
       
      Kristofferson 
        also performs at Willie Nelson's July 4 Picnic in Fort Worth, Texas, with 
        a star studded cast including Billy Joe Shaver, David Allan Coe, Asleep 
        At The Wheel, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Heather 
        Myles, Geezinslaw Bros and Shooter Jennings and Django Walker - sons of 
        Waylon and Jerry Jeff.  
         
        Kris and Walk The Line actor Waylon Payne - son of Willie's guitarist 
        Jody and the late Sammi Smith - is also featured in the video for the 
        new Kacey Jones tribute disc to Texan troubadour Mickey Newbury. 
         
        The former Golden Gloves boxer knocks out Payne in a scene from San Francisco 
        Mabel Joy in a video we will feature during this series. 
         
        Jones will host an episode in Texas of Nu Country TV that features interviews 
        from the picnic.

            Texan country star Lee Ann Womack also performs her evocative new 
            video for her hit Twenty Years And Two Husbands Ago. 
             
            Womack's video is from her stone country seventh album There's 
            More Where That Came From. 
             
            The Jacksonville born singer, 39 and mother of two, is one of Kernaghan's 
            favourite country chanteuses. 
             
            Lee Ann, former singing spouse of singer-songwriter Jason Sellers, 
            has long been wed to producer Frank Liddell.
