Australian bluegrass band Greencards has won a vast new galaxy of
fans after a prestige tour with Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan.
Now it headlines Episode #5 of Series #4 of Nu Country TV this Saturday
- August 6 - at 8 p m on C 31.
The trio features Adelaide born Kym Warner, Coffs Harbour-Dorrigo
damsel Carol Young and Englishman Eamon McLoughlin.

Warner and
Young wrote the song with prolific songwriter Bill Whitbeck - bassist
for legendary Texan troubadour Robert Earl Keen.
The video
clip earned healthy high rotation on the U.S. CMT cable network before
being sent to Australian Pay TV channel CMC and Nu Country TV.
"We made the video clip at an old ice skating rink at Lebanon near
Nashville," Kym recalled.
"All the local kids came to the rink for the video directed by Roger
Pistole from the West Coast."
The trio, now touring the U.S. with South Australian born and latter day
NSW Central Coast chart topper Kasey Chambers, is winning wide exposure
on U.S. radio.

GILL CELEB CAST - BE A WINNER

City born country star Vince Gill also features in our classic vault
section this week with his song Don't Let Our Love Start Slipping
Away.
A celebrity cast of peers support Gill in his video.

Gill, 48, is the son of late appellate court Judge Stan who played
banjo and sang in his chambers during adjournments.
Vince began his career with late brother Bob in bluegrass band, Mountain
Smoke and joined Bluegrass Alliance with Sam Bush and Dan Crary in
1975 and Sundance with Byron Berline. |
The former
Pure Prairie League singer toured Australia in the eighties with Sundance
and later Albert Lee before his solo career took off.
Gill and former singing spouse Janis of the Sweethearts Of The Rodeo sired
daughter Jenny - a some-time duet partner.
He later wed Christian singer Amy Grant - former wife of producer, singer
and TV host Gary Chapman.
Gill and Rodney Crowell are key members of The Notorious Cherry Bombs
who won exposure on Nu Country for their song Its Hard To Kiss The
Lips At Night That Chew Your Ass Out All Day Long.

NATALIE HOWARD

singer Natalie Howard also performs new single I Don't Want To Live
Like That.
The Redcliffe born chanteuse wrote the song with Nashville singer-songwriter
James Dean Hicks - one of her many collaborators.
Natalie lives on the Gold Coast and makes regular trips to Music City
to write and develop her talent.
Howard has won hefty ABC and community radio airplay for those songs on
debut indie album Yesterday's Make-up.

Lin
Van Hek, long time partner and best friend of Joe Dolce, debuts
on Nu Country with the song River Of Life from their joint 19 song
album The Flower in 2004.
The collaborative CD is a celebration of the artists 25 years performing
together.
River Of Life was written by New Zealand legend Kath Tait and has
been a focal point of the Van Hek-Dolce show Difficult Women for
10 years.

Northcote
singer Dave Owens performs the title track of his second indie album In
My Shoes.
Owens revealed that In My Shoes is a romantic fantasy about a famous
misunderstood travelling balladeer.
Dave is the son of American musician Dave Owens Sr - who co-penned the
late rock king Johnny O'Keefe's hit Wild One' (Real Wild Child).
The Troubadours singer has played professionally since he was 16 with
bands such as Mad Gorilla, Trader, Dirty Pool and Jerry, James & The
Chocolate Factory.
He has also recorded a studio album and a live album in 2000 & 2002.

alt.country trio Because We Can makes its Nu Country debut with its aptly
named Death Waltz.
The band made its nine song CD at Bakehouse Studio in North Fitzroy and
has won airplay on RRR and PBS-FM with live gigs in Melbourne and Canberra.
Because We Can included Love Song For Axl Rose on a CD that features
mandolin, piano and drums.
