PREVIEW OF EPISODE 10

DIRECTOR HOSKING FRONTS NU COUNTRY TV

Nu Country TV director, producer and videographer Peter Hosking belatedly makes his on camera debut as host of Nu Country TV in its 10th episode on Saturday December 6.
Hosking, 55 and veteran actor in popular movies, TV series and on stage, reluctantly emerged from behind the camera at the request of fellow volunteers.

It wasn't just because his peers believed that after spending 50 or 60 hours weekly for six months on filming and editing, the show viewers deserved to know who to thank.
While others slept the sleep of the just, Hosking often burned the midnight oil working on this show gratis after treading the boards filming other TV series and stage productions to keep the dingoes from his door.

DOUBLE TROUBLE ON MDA AND NU COUNTRY TV

There is another reason why we asked Peter to strut his stuff in front of his own camera.
Hosking appears in an episode of award winning ABC TV series 'MDA' on Wednesday December 10 - just four days after his Nu Country TV hosting role.

Shane Bourne

And we figure that Hosking, who has often been mistaken on the set and in the mean streets for MDA star Shane Bourne, could benefit from a little mainstream publicity.

Hosking, long living as Bourne's body double, plays a surgeon who stuffs up the back operation of a ballerina in MDA.

We reckon that's worth a personality piece in one of the show business columns in the dailies.

Well, that's what we're shooting for - to publicise Nu Country TV, with amazing ratings in its first series.

And, of course, for MDA now bathing in the afterglow of its recent TV awards.

ADAM BRAND LAST MAN STANDING

Geelong and Colac raised singer-songwriter Adam Brand and duet partner Melinda Schneider are the musical headliners this week.

Brand and Compass Brothers Records stable mate Schneider cut a duet on 'Love Away The Night' before he released the first of his three CDs.

It appears as a bonus track on Melinda's debut disc 'My Oxygen.'

MID PACIFIC BOB HOT DESSERT
FRUIT SALAD WITH CHILLI

Expatriate Californian culinary king Mid Pacific Bob Olson warns he will return a floral montage of his world famous fire extinguisher in future episodes.

But there's no evidence of it this week in his mouth-watering segment 'My Kitchen.'

Mid Pacific Bob's delicacy is a dynamic dessert - Fruit salad with chilli.
Now if that hasn't aroused your taste buds don't try to swim north or south across the Rio Grande or the Merri Creek or Yarra.

You will drown and the chilli won't save you.

Not even if you're a fireman or firewoman like Eltham egret Leslie Avril who lit a few spot fires when she duetted with the Dead Livers at the Nu Country Christmas party.

Bob toils as a Northcote High mathematics teacher between visits to his kitchen.
