country band Red Hot Poker Dots burst out of the sadly restrictive
Australian country music scene in 2003 winter of 2003 and worked the
            thriving U.S. circuit.

Not quite on the same level as award winning expatriate Australasian
Keith Urban but a big step into a highly competitive market.

Urban, a child prodigy, spent almost a decade fighting the system
here before making it in the U.S. after an extra 10 years of hard
            yakka in Nashville. |

      Kasey Chambers
also took the plunge after a decade with the Dead Ringer Band and a few
hot years as our most successful female country vocalist and songwriter.
       THE
        DOTS FOLLOW BILL & AUDREY
      Red Hot Poker
Dots followed in the slipstream of Bill Chambers, Audrey Auld, Git and
Felicity and Feral Swing Katz by doing showcases in hot spots such as
Nashville and roots country capital Austin, Texas.

The trio toured to promote their album 'Thirty Mile Square.'

They won acclaim for their stage show and original songs from alternate
radio and street press in locales diverse as Hollywood and Huntington
Beach in California and Atlanta in Georgia.

Red Hot Poker Dots also played gig in London and plan a return tour.
But first they have Australian country music capital, Tamworth, in January,
        2004. London.
