Lukas Nelson Headlines Nu Country TV With Dad Willie
Texan singer-songwriter and actor Lukas Nelson headlines Nu Country TV at 9.30 pm on Saturday August 3 with his famous father Willie, now 91.
Fellow Texans Parker McCollum and Miranda Lambert boomerang to our program repeated Monday at 3 am.
Kentuckian star Chris Stapleton returns on the eve of his Australian tour in February and Georgian Will Mosely debuts on our show filmed and produced by Laith Graham.
Queensland singer-songwriter and 2024 Tamworth Starmaker winner Wade Forster also fronts our show.
This series is dedicated to late Nu Country TV host and treasurer Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and Vice President Rod Browne.
Lukas Nelson and Best Friend and Father Willie
Texan singer-songwriter and actor Lukas Nelson pays tribute to his dad – Shotgun Willie – who turned 91 on April 29.
Lukas illustrates his joyous journey from the cradle to the peaks in the Lone Star State and way beyond in his video featuring Willie who is on the road again after cancelling several concerts but not his annual July 4 Picnic.
Lukas, his brother Micah and Willie have appeared in several movies during their colourful careers that feature Willie’s movie town Luck near Austin.
Grammy winner Lukas celebrates his 36th birthday on Christmas Day and toured here in 2019 with his band Promise Of The Real.
Lukas plans to fly his own plane to Uluru when he returns this year
His new family video My Best Friend follows his 12th album Sticks & Stones.

Texan Parker McCollum, now 32, revealed a few secrets to a loved one on his return to our show.
Things I Never Told You is on his fifth album Never Enough.
Parker became a prolific singer-songwriter after growing up in Conroe near Houston.
At 13 he began playing guitar and writing songs at school.
Parker took to the stage and highway to drive home his message in his previous Nu Country video To Be Loved By You from his third album Gold Chain Cowboy.
Parker and Koe Wetzel also appeared on Nu Country in Granger Smith’s video for You Are In It on his ninth album When The Good Guys Win.

Miranda Lambert and Enrique Iglesias Heart Space
Texan Miranda Lambert returns to Behind Bars with Tennessean Enrique Iglesias on their Space In My Heart video from Enrique’s 12th album Final 2.
Miranda, now 40, has released 10 albums including four with the Pistol Annies group.
She is also promoting her new Gibson Miranda Lambert Bluebird guitar, book Y’all Eat Yet? weaving in food and her story and Idyllwind Velvet Rodeo fragrance as part of Idyllwind at Boot Barn stores.
She also fronted our show with Leon Bridges on their If You Were Mine video in 2023 and with Chris Stapleton on Maggie’s Song on Stapleton’s fourth album Starting Over that topped charts on debut and Settling Down from her seventh album Wildcard.
Miranda other Nu Country videos included Bluebird from her seventh album Wildcard, Little Red Wagon and Tequila Does.
The pet pal and co-founder of Pistol Annies is renowned for rescuing and raising dogs at her Mutt Nation Foundation.
Lambert celebrated her 40th birthday on November 10 with her second husband Brendan McLoughlin – a New York city cop.
She wed Brendan on January 26, 2019, in Davidson County, Tennessee.
It was Lambert’s second wedding after her four-year marriage to Blake Shelton from 2011 to 2015.
Enrique, 49, hails from Spain and is the third and youngest child of Spanish singer-songwriter Julio Iglesias and Filipina socialite and magazine journalist Isabel Preysler.
The six time Grammy winner and his Russian tennis player spouse Anna Kournikova have three children.
He started his recording career in the mid-1990s on Mexican label Fonovisa and became bestselling Spanish-
language act of the decade before making a successful crossover into the mainstream English-language market.
He signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US $68 million with Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish albums and Interscope Records to release English albums.

Chris Stapleton Climbs Mountains
Kentucky star Chris Stapleton, now 46, returns to our show on the eve of his concerts at Rod Laver Arena on February 25 and 26.
This week he performs his live version of Mountains Of My Mind from his fifth album Higher.
Chris previously appeared on Nu Country when he fronted a hot band live at the 2021 CMA awards in Nashville with big hit Cold from his fourth album Starting Over that topped charts on debut.
Chris and singing spouse Morgane are busy as parents of five children including twins.
They performed on our show with their live video Arkansas and Missouri born singing actor Sheryl Crow on historic hit Tell Me When It’s Over.
Chris and Miranda Lambert performed a tribute to his pet pooch who died after 16 years at the Stapleton home in recent video Maggie’s Song.
Producer Dave Cobb guested on Chris videos for Shameless and Starting Over – title track of his album with 11 of his original songs and released on November 13, 2021.
His previous Nu Country videos included I Was Wrong, Midnight Train To Georgia, Broken Halo, Fire Away and Tennessee Whiskey after writing many hits for a vast cast diverse as Adele, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill and Peter Frampton during and after a career with bluegrass band The Steel Drivers.

Will Moseley Good Book – The Bible
South Georgian Will Moseley, now 23, debuts on our show with a Biblical parable.
The American Idol runner up depicts the tale of a wayward lad finding a good book in church.
It landed him support roles on tours by fellow Georgians – Zac Brown band
Good Book Bad is on the Hazlehurst hombre’s new album.
It follows singles including Fishing For A Living, Why, Gone For Good, Coming Down and Somewhere In The Middle with Nate Baker.

Wade Forster Coffin Cheater
Winton born 2024 Tamworth Starmaker winner and rodeo cowboy Wade Forster debuts on our show with his rehab tale.
Wade, now 25, won the 2024 Tamworth Starmaker quest and filmed at Hunter Valley wedding venue Shepherds Corner with no sign of any sheep.
But there was a handmade coffin as he drove a 1963 Chevrolet Impala in his Off The Drugs video from his 2022 album In The Beginning.
It follows previous singles Fighting Tears, Rodeo Romeo, Guess I’m Wrong Again, Madelyn, Cigarettes, Nicotine Dream and Team Roper’s Anthem.
Wade opens for Tyler Hubbard on his spring tour here that includes The Forum in Melbourne on October 6 and Deni Ute Muster on October 5.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 45.
