Old Crow Medicine Show headline Nu Country TV on Saturday January 25 at 9 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44 with their U.S. election parody.
Sydney singing actor Andy Penkow, Kentuckian Taylor Austin Dye and recent Maryland tourist Jackson Dean boomerang to the show repeated at 3 am on Monday.
San Francisco escapee Ashley Ryan and Arkansas teenager Waylon Wyatt make their Nu Country TV debut on the program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Old Crow Medicine Show Joined By A Donkey And Elephant
Old Crow Medicine Show find a donkey and an elephant as they parody animalistic asses in the 2024 U.S. election.
The triple Grammy winners exuded humour after suffering 40 days and 40 long nights – but not just on TV and polling booths.
They put their animals on a boat with lions and asses.
Donkey And Elephant is on their 15th album that follows 2023 LP Jubilee.
The band previously fronted our show with Willie Watson who toured with Asleep At The Wheel at 2024 Out On The Weekend Festival in Williamstown.
The band began their 25 year career as buskers in Virginia and debuted at 2009 CMC Rocks The Snowys in Thredbo with Taylor Swift.
They played Melbourne Forum before returning in 2017 for Queensland and NSW concerts.
The band also fronted our show with Miles Away from Jubilee at Brushy Mountain Penitentiary in Petros, Tennessee.

Andy Penkow Celebrates A Lone Drover
Sydney born singing actor Andy Penkow honours an outback drover who raises a child alone before finding new love.
Andy grew up in Sussex Inlet on the NSW south coast and appeared in Mel Gibson 2000 TV movie Three Stooges, 2005 Deck Dog’s movie, Deadly Woman and Sunday Night in 2017.
The Lone Drover follows Andy’s recent video Ghostly Gums and is on Andy’s fourth album Shades On Me.
Andy also fronted our show with Fallen Snow from his third album Before I Go and 1993 that followed How Many Times, Protected Love, Wildflowers, Drowning In The Whiskey and Before I Go and his duet with Della Harris on How Many Times.
The JMC Academy graduate completed an advanced diploma of popular music and performance while lead singer for Inter-fear, Thompson Gunners covers band, Ionia and Mundy Bluze.
He released debut album Sad Love Songs in 2018 and Shane Nicholson produced his five track EP Chasing The Sun in 2020.
Penkow, now 40, was living on the coast when he joined the SBS choir.

Taylor Austin Dye Hurt Feelings
Kentucky belle Taylor Austin Dye returns to our show with new video Hurt My Feelings from her second solo album Sick Of Me.
Taylor, now 28, recorded three albums with Maddy Font as the duo Maddie & Tae and now tours with her band Ride or Dyes and singing spouse Josh Kerr whom she wed in 2020.
The Boonesville belle previously fronted our show with her Fake Ring video.
Taylor was born in Oklahoma and lived in Kentucky before recording her 2023 debut album Out Of These Hills.
She previously appeared on Nu Country with her Almost Oklahoma, Bible Belt and No Good Time Girl videos.
Maddie & Tae fronted our show in Fly and Girl In A Country Song they performed on their 2015 Australian tour with Lady Antebellum and Kristian Bush.

Jackson Dean Free After Lainey Wilson Tour
Maryland born Jackson Dean, now 24, returns to our show after joining Kameron Marlowe on Lainey Wilson’s Australian tour in March last year.
Jackson had a song in Yellowstone TV series.
This week he performs Free that follows previous Nu Country video Heavens To Betsy on his second album On The Back Of My Dreams.

Ashley Ryan A Pour Girl
California born Ashley Ryan debuts on our show with her bar battles.
She hit the bars and beat to showcase wry word play in new video Pour Girl.
Ashley took the booze out of a blonde belle who tried to steal her beau.
San Francisco escapee Ashley, 37, hails from Corona but headed to Nashville in 2018 and signed in 2022 with Spinville Music independent record publisher and label.
Ashley’s first Spinville song Hush Little Baby was released January 20, 2023, after over 12 million views on Tik Tok and Facebook.
She performed an impromptu duet with Keith Urban on his hit Without You to a sold-out show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Since then Ashley has played live shows and writer rounds including Whiskey Jam, The Listening Room and Bluebird Café.

Waylon Wyatt Everything Under The Sun
Arkansas teenager Waylon Wyatt debuts on our show as he performs live and solo by a river.
Waylon, just 17, hails from Hackett in Arkansas and filmed his Everything Under The Sun video – one of his eight singles as prelude to debut EP Till The Sun Goes Down.
Others include Phoning Heaven, Jailbreak, Arkansas Diamond and Back To Then.
Inspired by red-dirt contemporaries Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan, Waylon began writing songs at fifteen, workshopping them after long summer days spent working with his dad on construction jobs.
Waylon tours with artists diverse as Dwight Yoakam, Dylan Gossett and Cole Chaney.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 45.
