Kentuckian Carly Pearce and Florida band Soul Circus Cowboys boomerang to our program repeated Monday at 3 am.
Expat Melbourne singer-songwriter Jordie Lane , Lee Brice, Nate Smith and Hailey Whitters also appear on our show filmed and produced by Laith Graham.
This series is dedicated to late NuCountry TV host and treasurer Mid-Pacific Bob Olson and Vice President Rod Browne.

MARK POWELL LIVE IN ABILENE
West Texan outlaw rancher Mark Powell performs live at the 13th Outlaws & Legends Music Festival in Abilene.
Mark, father of three, also hosts the annual festival on his third generation family ranch where his animals outnumber the humans.
The ranch also hosts his two Buffaloes (Lavern and Shirley), five Longhorns (Cletus, Sugar Rush, Wendy Kay, Eliza, Ginger) and one Mammoth Jack Mule (Amos).
There’s also two Miniature Donkeys (Poncho and Lefty), Three Zebu’s {miniature Brahman Bulls and Cows} (Little Jimmy, Conswella, Daisy), one Horse (Trigger), Two Ayam Cenami Chickens (Oprah and Beyonce).
Some appear in his Undomesticated Me video on his sixth album Songs My Wife Hates.
It follows his fifth album Breaking Things.
Powell has liquid sponsors for his music.
“Several times a year we work with Garrison Brothers Whiskey and recently the band became sponsored by 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits Company from Vail, Colorado,” Powell revealed.
Powell fronted Nu Country with his Project and This Bar Needs A Town videos in 2020.

WADE BOWEN FINDS RAIN IN WEST TEXAS
Fellow West Texan Wade Bowen hits the road again at the wheel of his pick-up truck in his return to our show.
Wade, now 47, also hit the stage when the rain came down in tears and sheets.
But his hat didn’t protect him.
Raining On Me is on his 17th album Flying.
He also fronted our show with fellow Texan Randy Rogers with humorous Rhinestoned and Rodeo Clown videos and Standards on their joint album Hold My Beer, Volume 1.
Bowen and Oklahoma born star Vince Gill appeared on Nu Country TV with a live duet on Lost In A World Without Merle Haggard from Vince’s 15th studio album Okie.
The Texas Tech University graduate also appeared with Death, Dying & Devilled Eggs, Day Of The Dead, When Love Comes Around, Who I Am, Say Anything, Loving Not Leaving, Nothing But Texas and When I Woke Up Today.

JORDIE LANE CHANGING WEATHER
Expat Melbourne singer-songwriter Jordie Lane returns to our show from Nashville on the eve of his August Australian tour that includes gigs in historic Beechworth town and the Hunter Valley.
Lane fronted in the studio with his energised trio who even had time for board games.
They performed The Changing Weather video on his ABC album Tropical Depression on Blood Thinner Records.
He recorded it in Nashville with Grammy nominated producer and engineer Jon Estes.
Lane is the son of a comedian and a clown and spent early years in his parents travelling circus.
Tropical Depression tackles Lane’s growing obsession with extreme weather (ignited by a close call with an EF-3 Tornado) and its eventual collision with his own mental health battles.

CARLY PEARCE HUMMINGBIRD HOMAGE
Kentuckian Carly Pearce showcased a question in her new My Place video – her beau’s new belle taking her place in his love life.
Carly, 34, grew up in Taylor Mill in a large bluegrass family.
She also fronted our show with here a recent hit video with Kentucky coal miner’s son Chris Stapleton – We Don’t Fight Anymore.
My Place is on her fourth album Hummingbird out on June 7
She also released 29: Written in Stone Live from Music City .
Carly also appeared on Nu Country TV with What He Didn’t Do and Dear Miss Loretta – her evocative homage to fellow Kentucky born belle Loretta Lynn who died at 90 on October 4, 2022.
Carly and Arkansas traveller Ashley McBryde won Grammy and CMA awards for Never Wanted To Be That Girl also on Nu Country TV .
Pearce is now dating Riley King, a former MLB player for the Kansas City Royals.

SOUL CIRCUS COWBOYS
Florida band Soul Circus Cowboys return to our show long after they began in Tampa in 2009.
They performed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team at their 2021 Super Bowl in Tampa.
This time they hit the sand with a bucolic beach belle.
Sit On A Beach is on their fifth album Rolling Across America – Home Stretch.
They previously fronted our show with their Last Train Running and Knowing That Girl videos.
The quartet was formed in Tampa in 2009 by lead singer Billy McKnight who teamed with Grammy winning songwriter producer Frank Myers.
Guitarist Ron Zebron, bassist Dan Turner and drummer Steven O’Reilly are the other Soul Circus Cowboys.

LEE BRICE HAILEY WHITTERS AND NATE SMITH DRINKING BUDDIES
Lee Brice, Nate Smith and Hailey Whitters join forces and drinks on their Nu Country TV return.
North Carolina born Lee, 47 and dad of three children, has toured here several times.
Nate Smith, 38, hails from Paradise , California , and cut his self-titled debut album in 2023.
Iowa born Hailey Whitters, 34, released her third album Raised in 2020.
Drinking Buddies features on Lee’s sixth album that follows Hey World.
Lee was struck by morality fears with Covid on eve of a tour and 54th CMA Awards in November of 2020 in Nashville.
Brice cancelled his role with Carly Pearce who appeared on Nu Country with Lee on I Hope You Are Happy Now on her second album released on Valentines’ Day, 2020.
So it’s no surprise the father of three who toured here with Georgian Kip Moore in 2018 makes a passionate plea for funeral mourners to save their roses, his guitars and other precious gifts at a desert funeral in his previous Nu Country video Save The Roses on Hey World that also featured his More Beer video title track single.
Brice exposed his soul in church and a wedding when he headlined Nu Country with his Soul video also on Hey World .
Brice and Georgian Kip Moore toured Australia together in 2018 before Moore returned with Mississippi minstrel Randy Houser in March, 2023.
Whitters was just 17 when she left hometown Shueyville for Nashville but was belle of the ball in previous Nu Country video Everything She Ain’t that followed her 10 Year Town and Janice At The Hotel Bar on our show.
Nate Smith and Wisconsin born Ashley Cooke debuted on our show with their See You Around video – one of 24 tracks Ashley wrote for her new album Shot In The Dark.

WIN WAYLON, GEORGE JONES AND MERLE HAGGARD

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.
The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
