LUKAS NELSON AND PROMISE OF THE REAL
Lukas Nelson celebrated his 33rd birthday on Christmas Day after spending time in iso with dad Willie, now 88, mum Annie and extended family.
He toured here before the pandemic and played the Corner Hotel in Richmond with his Promise Of The Real band.
Lukas and his band are on the road again as they perform Wildest Dream live from his ninth album A Few Stars Apart produced by Grammy Award winner Dave Cobb.
The album is testament to finding human connections between close family and friends and the artist's heart.
It was inspired by stillness Lukas found riding the pandemic with his family in Texas and recorded with the full band live on eight-track tape over three weeks at Nashville 's historic RCA Studio A.
The eleven songs reveal what it means to come home again, to be still, and to find community and yourself.
Lukas has appeared in films with his dad and had large cameos in the latest A Star Is Born movie revamp.
Nelson and Promise Of The Real were lead actor Brad Cooper's movie band and he produced and directed much of the music.
Lukas also wrote songs with Lady Ga-Ga who shared star billing with Cooper.
He also appeared on Nu Country with his videos for Movie On My Mind , Forget About Georgia , Just Outside Of Austin , Find Yourself, Bad Case, Healing Hands Of Time and My Tears Fall.

The Austin band was formed by singer-songwriter Mike Harmeier in 2007.
Fellow members are drummer Kyle Ponder, guitarist Catlin Rutherford, bassist Omar Oyoque, and steel guitarist Zachary Moulton.
In May 2020 they released Touch of You: The Lost Songs of Gary Stewart - an album of unreleased songs written or co-written by late honky-tonk singer-songwriter Gary Stewart.
Their version of Stewart's Smooth Shot of Whiskey featuring Mark Wystrach of Midland was released as a single.
