DOLLY PARTON HEADLINES NU COUNTRY TV SERIES #58 PREMIERE

Singing actor Dolly Parton previews the 2024 Paris Olympics with an inspirational video from her new album Rock Stars as she headlines Nu Country TV Series #58 premiere on Saturday December 9 at 6.30 pm.

North Carolina nouveau outlaw chart-topper Luke Combs boomerangs to the show that's repeated Tuesday at 1.30 am.

Late country music legend Slim Dusty's son Doctor David Kirkpatrick debuts with his band Two Tone Pony on the program filmed and edited by our loyal producer and co-host Laith Graham.

Alabama band Madison Station and Australian singer-songwriters Chris Rose and James Keith debut this week.

Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

DOLLY WORLDS ON FIRE

Dolly Parton proves why she is still alive and kicking at the age of 77 in her Nu Country TV return.

Dolly works nine to five with a timely parody of politicians in her live video of Worlds On Fire at the 58th Academy of Country Awards.

Parton recently fronted our show with her Paris Olympics celebration We Are The Champions with Queen for her latest album Rock Stars released on November 15.

Dolly has released more than 50 albums and starred in many movies and TV shows.

She also launched her new rock ‘n' roll pet collection under her Doggy Parton brand at Petco.

The collection offers apparel, accessories, and toys designed for furry companions at petco.com and Petco locations.

Dolly also shares her passion for fashion in her new book Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones available October 17 through Penguin Random House.

She also released her Smoky Mountain Eau de Parfum and Front Porch Collection that features four scents at Walmart.

LUKE ACOUSTIC IN THE STUDIO

Luke Combs celebrates the birth of his second son Beau by performing an acoustic video of his song Take You With Me from his fourth album Getting Old.

Combs, now 33, and wife Nicole welcomed Beau in September after Luke sold out his eight concerts on his second Australian tour in August.

Luke took time out on his tour to catch a Collingwood-Brisbane game at Mickey Mouse house in Docklands.

Combs was a VIP guest of former Carlton and Adelaide star Eddie Betts.

So it was fitting that Brisbane champion Charlie Cameron named some Luke songs in his post- game TV interview with Brian Taylor on the Seven Network.

TWO TONE PONY

NSW band Two Tone Pony trace a family's journey back to when a woman got married in 1946 after the war and how she later farewelled her husband in their video for A Life Well Lived.

Two Tone Pony feature Slim Dusty's son Dr David Kirkpatrick who was joined in 2018 by school mates Ian Rhodes and Graham Puglisi from the Rhythm Method.

Glenn Willey and brother-in-law Greg Richardson from The Adverts also ride in Two Tone Pony.

David lived in a caravan for the first six years of his life when he and sister Anne Kirkpatrick toured with their parents Slim and Joy McKean.

He subsequently went to boarding school and career as Emergency Medicine Specialist on the Central Coast of NSW.

MADISON STATION DEBUT

Alabama band Madison Station on a trip back in time in their Back In The Day video.

The band took its name from guitarist Craig Anderson's Alabama hometown.

Craig first hit charts with his band Heartland that features singer Lance Horton who hails from Tennessee.

His dad sang in a gospel quartet for more than 20 years and one of his grandfathers was an old time church music minister.

Back In The Day is their debut single on Yellow Hammer records.

RUGBY LEAGUE STAR JAMES KEITH

James Keith - a former premiership-winning Captain coach of the Belrose Eagles - debuts with a video filmed at the Old Manly Boatshed.

Kaith wrote No Hero with Kyle Pearce and recorded it in his home-town Orange in NSW.

No Hero is on his new album Life is Good Today with new single This Town.

“This Town is a musical reflection of my upbringing in a lively family of five boys on a farm near Orange , NSW.” Keith revealed.

“This dynamic track cleverly sprinkles clues about the town without outright disclosing its name. Those familiar with Orange will recognize it instantly while others will enjoy the guessing game. The song captures the essence of my experiences and will surely resonate with a wide audience.”

CHRIS ROSE COLD BEER BUZZ

Chris Rose filmed his new video at Seabreeze Beach Hotel at South-West Rocks.

Rose grew up surfing at Port McQuarie on the northern NSW coast and wrote Cold Beer Buzz for his debut album.

Chris signed his first major label record deal in 2012 at the age of 19 and released his debut single We Are in 2013.

In 2019 his original Someone Like You was followed in August 2020 with Keep Me Believing used by Channel 7 as soundtrack for an advertising campaign for Home and Away.

Chris followed with three singles in late 2021 and 2022 - Made For Loving You, Hometown and Things We Shouldn't Do.

The Waylon, Highwaymen , Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.

She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.

Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon's birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.

Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 80, and son Shooter, 44.
